not really how i would describe the scenario but it is an issue for some.
i will say from experience that it doesnt take long without having a set work schedule for people to lose the urgency they typically attach to their free time while wagecucking, nor do you need as much time for relaxing as theres nothing stressing you out.

having too much free time is a problem if you have no personal agency or goals, when you have an unlimited amount of free time it becomes very convenient to constantly move things you need to do into ever further future dates.
thats a problem for me at least and i know others have it, as whenever its come up on these boards this past couple of years there has always been somebody else in the same situation.

in my case i only work 14-16 hours per week over a thursday and friday, so i have 5 days a week to myself to do whatever i want, so im not a neet but i face some of the time issues as ive the funds to do almost anything i want and the time to do it. i still go entire weeks without making progress on plans.

for example, about 2 months ago i wrote some comedy lyrics for a song i was going to put on youtube, after getting them down on paper and building the whole song in my head, i havent actually done an inch of work towards it and constantly tell myself ill get round to finishing it eventually. i have some good sound equipment here and really enjoy editing music on the computer, yet here i am 2 months later and i still havent moved forward with a stupid hobby project id probably really enjoy doing.
its the same with fitness beyond the meme home lifting i do, same with getting round to reading books ive been putting off for years, seeing films ive been putting off for years etc too much time, i wast it all on meme charts and imageboards

I'm just revealing my own biases in art. I don't think paintings or sculpture (ones being made today) as we have known them in the lineage of art history has much relevance in the face of what art claims it wants to do. One of those things is create radically new things that can reshape life and the very basis of thought. At the very least, painting, sculpture or generally the media of Art proper aren't very personally relevant to me. They may speak deeply to people who are invested in those media but I'm not.

an artist spending years of their life studying and mastering a craft, often in solitude, often at the expense of many other facets of a normal life, is what gives any creative work true value for me. if somebody hasnt sacrificed something to become the best they possibly can be in their field (could be playing an instrument, crafting things out of marble, building granite structures that will last 2000 years) then i personally will never view them in the same light, like some modern designer attributing any manner of bollocks onto a pretty shape and saying 'i did this because of x and it represents y because i say it does and now im an artist'.

i can appreciate the appeal of more accessible forms of expression, ive been making 4chan shitposts for years and it gives me a massive dopamine rush when i see somebody else post an image of mine theyve saved but id never claim that basic design work has artistic merit, nor should it be something somebody should ever aspire to creating themselves in a scenario where they have unlimited time and money post making it.
in that situation they should be using their new found freedom to push the boundaries of what they are capable of creating in their lifetime, if whatever message/emotion they want to illicit is so important to them in the first place they should be doing it the hard way. if mastering classical sculpture is going to be hard for the person and take them 30 years, thats exactly the work they should be doing.

I live next to a forest so I'd spend some time in there recording data like plant species and geography. Volunteering to manage the site would be fun. Finally, I get a nice home library with numerous books in finance, (I don't plan on quitting investing, at the very least it would stay as a fun novelty/hobby), philosophy, and maybe some novels I would enjoy. I really wanna read Dune.
Oh, and I wanna get good at cooking and to learn more about dog nutrition to make my dog's life as quality as possible. Obviously other NEET things such as playing total war, shitposting in my underwear in the mornings after my runs, etc would continue.
