sunrise is usually a good time to be out enjoying the crisp fresh air, maybe some tea and sausage on for brekkie, enjoying the first fag of the day.

You don't sell stocks.

You buy in companies that can withstand the ravages of time, and reinvest your dividends.

You buy more as it goes up, and if it drops, you REALLY START BUYING THE FUCK OUT OF IT.

And if you chose poorly and your stock never comes back up, you go down with the ship.

NEVER EVER SELLING.

The hands arent separate entities, they are YOUR hands. It wont harm you, The only problem is that the moment you see it your mind turns off and you run in fear automatically.

also I mean Telekinesis/Psychokinesis not telepathy. They can move objects but as far as Im concerned it's impossible to manually control because your fear overwhelms you and the hand dissinigrates within seconds

Yes, the mind control is related to these hands. But what Im talking about is the actual physical control of the hands. I disagree. Operating a car is a pretty simple operation. There's really three main inputs: the steering wheel, acceleration pedal and the brake pedal. All of those inputs can be treated as simple scalar values. The problem is going to be "ethics." Self-driving cars might end up being drivers than humans, but if they do cause an accident, for some reason it's worse that a machine caused it than if a human caused it.

You'd be a fan of Liz Warren's (Pocahontas') new bill, the "Stop Wall Street Looting Act"
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/elizabeth-warren-private-equity-firms-are-like-vampires-proposes-curbs-on-wall-street-in-new-bill/
https://www.warren.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/warren-baldwin-brown-pocan-jayapal-colleagues-unveil-bold-legislation-to-fundamentally-reform-the-private-equity-industry

from just looking at the summary, it doesn't seem too bad.
>The bill aims to hold private equity firms financially liable for the debts and pension obligations of the companies they acquire. It also would restrict the firms' ability to pay dividends as well as high fees that shift money out of acquired companies.

Of course the problem behind the bill is a creeping and insidious one: our government (on both sides, but especially democrats) desire and are working towards trying to legislate themselves into positions where they have more control over business. These kinds of bills, even if they are good on their own, are on the slippery slope towards far more controlling legislation like Warren's "Accountable Capitalism Act":

From what I understand REITs benefit if interest rates go down. I know the Boston Fed pres is on record saying he is not in favor of a cut: https://www.cnbc.com/2019/07/19/feds-rosengren-not-on-board-for-rate-cut-i-think-we-should-wait.html

If there is a cut (bond markets 100% expect one in July) it will be 25 pts and not 50. So best I can tell, the RE stocks/ETFs/REITs took that as a bearish sign and sold off heavily on Friday.

From the Yahoo article:

>>According to the complaint, since 2013, Lannett's business strategy has been to collusively enter into industry-wide anti-competitive agreements with other generic drug manufacturers. Extensive regulatory investigations revealed that Lannett was involved in an industry-wide conspiracy to fix prices and allocate territories for the sale of at least 18 different generic medications... The complaint further alleges that Lannett insiders misrepresented the scope of their investigations into potential antitrust violations and the likelihood that Lannett would be implicated in the broader price-fixing procecutions.

Since, to my knowledge, LCI has never actually been convicted of price-fixing, the complaint is really begging the question at this point in time.

So I just did some math for fun, check this out guys.
Let's say you have 40,000 dollars to invest in QYLD. Let's assume QYLD never grows, retains the same dividend structure and levels, and that you re-invest those dividends entirely back into QYLD, and do it monthly. That's a 13.2% stacking increase each year.
In 5 years, you have 74348.62 (passive income $743 a month)
In 10, 156,434 (passive income $1564 a month)
In 15, 329,160 (passive income $3291 a month)
In 20, 692,604 (passive income $6926 a month)

If I had 40 grand I would do this immediately. Remember this is all assuming no increase in dividend percent or stock value.

You think working out is going to make you more attractive? truth is.. every 30 year old has seen the type of person you are.. going to gym in their early 20s thinking they're gunna be bad ass in life only to be a fat loser by the time they're 30 because they focused so much on their body and not on their financial and social future... you probably spend so much time at the gym that you don't even have time for a girlfriend but then when you do get a girlfriend she is actually really turned off by you but you say.. oh no worries i'll find a better one.. and you go back to the gym and repeat the cycle..... anyone old than 25 has seen this cycle and some never get out of it..
this is literally the cope you use where you can't set aside less than one hour a day to do a PPL? lmfao pathetic. And yeah i do focus on my social and economic future. That;s why i try so hard in school and save my money and invest it.

you are not accounting for taxes
It makes a significant difference in the compounding.

I do advocate some allocation to a call-writing strategy, but I prefer KNG to QYLD (or a combination of QYLD and normal index funds)

if you could get 13.2% gains yearly without the tax burden like that, everyone would do it.
the fact is, the current tax structure means that it is WAY better to invest in index funds that grow the stock value (and you only have to pay long term cappy gains tax when you sell, vs having to pay short term cappy gains every year, but digging into your compounding at that time scale)

let me know if it makes sense my love

KNG is like QYLD, PBP, etc. because it is a covered call ETF.

BUT there are some important difference.
QYLD writes calls on 100% of their underlying. This maximizes yield but limits gains.
KNG holds an underlying of dividend kings (already blue chip high divvy payers) and then writes call on those (but only like 20% of underling, not 100%) to achieve a higher yield while also maintaining growth.

you could do a similar strategy (for example) buy buying 35% QYLD 65% QQQ or 30% PBP 70% SPY, for example.

You can read the details here:
https://www.cboevest.com/etfs/

basically the point is to lower volatility and increase yields SIGNIFICANTLY while at the same time preserving most of the growth potential of the underlying.

Your GPA alone isn't enough to give you the power to decide which job you get when you enter the workforce.

You need to focus on networking and/or extracurriculars and/or internships to be in a position where you can choose a job you want.

I say this as someone who already has a good job that pays well. But I got it through some luck, a family member knew someone else's family member. You can't rely on that, you can't rely on just 'writing off' your tuition costs and having no job.
Please, PLEASE try and do something towards getting a job that you want that pays well as soon as possible.DOn't wait around for it, make it happen.

There's also no reason not to try to get to know your teachers a bit. They know students want to get letters of recommendation and connections and stuff, but it's part of life, and if you show an interest in them as a person or in the subject material they specialize in, they may take a liking to you, or you just might learn something, or a door you didn't know of might reveal itself.

i'm trying to think some situations in which i could approach a teacher and try to do what you're telling me.

so for example, at the end of the class, if there was something that i didn't fully understand, or something i'd want to know more about, could i approach the teacher and say something like

>excuse me, may i ask you a question? i would like to know more about X and i thought i could ask you

and then ask a question or that thing i want to know more about. i think this is a good way of approaching a teacher, even if it's still inside a class.

my concern is, what attitude should i have when the teacher's explaining something directly to me? should i try to be funny, or act fascinated by the subject? how can i get them to like me as a student?

I can't know without knowing the professor. You're going to have to go with your instincts on this, and see what works. Then maybe adjust.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. For the most part... be yourself. But be a version of yourself that cares about that professor and that subject.

I think that just about any modern protestant denomination is just as corrupt, misguided, and worldly as the modern catholic church.

We have to go back. Luther (or anyone else from the historical 'true' church) would be fully disappointed with the state of doctrine in the modern protestant and catholic churches. We have to reform the world in God's image
we have to save ourselves before we can save the world.

catholic church and various lutheran churches in europe are starting to work together more and cross-church dialogs, but the nature of protestantism is that each country has their own church, there is no worldwide lutheran church like there is for catholicism.....

just give it time (centuries), worst case scenario we (humanity) may end up joining up more once a significant external threat to the world comes along, and in the end the teachings and lessons are more important than the label we use to identify ourselves anyways

could be worse

Regarding weed stocks, they're not going to meet your "mild but relatively safe returns" criteria. Only consistent thing about the weed sector is high volatility all over the place. Screaming bull runs and suicide drops back and forth. Funny enough, one of the best sort of related to weed stocks stock this year has been Scott's Miracle Grow with around 90% run up since the christmas eve of death 2018. Don't buy this stock now though. It's about to touch all time high and looks pretty iffy for upside continuation.

My suggestion is just go with an index ETF or two. S&P or Nasdaq 100 and the Dow. But not right now. There is trouble brewing. Market is not comfy,.

That's not really true. If the Catholic Church had capitulated to Luther, it would have ceased to be the Catholic Church (and something a lot more like the Lurheran churches, coincidentally enough). When you say that Luther wanted to "just get catholics to stop doing shady shit," you're giving the impression that all Luther said was something like, "Hey, guys, we should really stop selling indulgences for money. That could be perceived as a conflict of interest!" Luther said a lot more than that. Read the Smalcald Articles for instance. In reality, Luther was objecting to core Catholic doctrine and practice that go back to the very earliest centuries of the Church. For Luther, everything was up for grabs, and any reconciliation would have been impossible because Luther made himself into his own super-pope. All his arguments were infallible and not open to correction because they were all just the clear teachings of sacred scripture. (Never mind those other Reformers who came to opposing positions from Luther, also claiming scriptural backing.)

Also I think we would all slay some Gobs just to protect that smile.
