What an odd bunch you LINKies are. You meme constantly. Consistently hold some of the biggest social followings in the crypto space despite not even being a top 10 coin. All your "breadcrumbs" are long shot conspiracy theories that tangentially connect to the fourth industrial revolution. There's no stopping this is there.... It's going to be a bunch of frog posters and avatars from the 1999 Keanu Reeves classic "The Matrix" that will end up inheriting all this new found wealth isn't it. I'll just warn you now. Don't share the size of your stack with anyone. Not your girlfriend, not your wife, not your own parents. There's about to be some very envious people that will try to drain your life energy if you let them. Don't. There's only a few instances in life where you can clearly see what's about to happen that will bring you wealth. This is one of them and for some of you, this will be your only chance to "make it". Stay focused. Stay strong. Hodl. And don't let anyone fuck with your mind about this. Literally no one has any idea about how big this is except you. Trust yourself and no one else.

$5 shitcoin. The enthusiasm you feel is not felt by the majority of the crypto community, they're as impressed with other coins as you are with LINK. Thing is, their tech is superior and their success isn't driven by memes on imageboards. Herd mentality and FOMO has got LINK this far, but popularity will ultimately be as irrelevant as shouting "bitconnect" on stage, it's the tech which will determine which coin becomes 'the' crypto.
No matter how successful LINK may become, with a coin supply between 350m and 1bil, each coin will still be worth fuck all.
Reminder that the dev is cashing out right now btw, lol. And still you cling on to this catastrophe as if it's going anywhere.

Buy KMD. Buy XSN. Buy XMR. LINK is over. Sir Gay took his money, you can bet he'll quit the project soon, he'll be too busy spending your money on fucking your little sister and her friends.

"by gifts one makes slaves and by whips one makes dogs"

You are correct in your presumption that debt is power and power is money, but I fail to see what you mean by your question. The only power system is the dollar as the reserve currency together with the petrodollar (although the petrodollar is arguably archaic and exists in name only). If you're wondering whether people will dump fiat and adopt crypto then the answer is a definite no.
>>14887638
has the right idea. Fiat allows an unprecedented degree of control that, on an individual scale, is hardly recognizable, but on a collective scale makes a huge difference in the long-term. With the dollar as the reserve currency the USA can, for example, pressure foreign governments into buying up dollar reserves whilst borrowing more money through its own citizens via bond issues then, once enough dollars have flowed out, simply print more money to pay back its own citizens whilst foreign governments hoard dollar reserves. FREE MONEY. Likewise, if government debt ever spirals out of control the government can print more dollars to inflate away the debt, effectively extracting their citizen's wealth.

For the individual such things are a severe violation of liberty, but on a collective level it's the only thing that keeps this whole house of cards running.
Now imagine a scenario where people adopt crypto instead: the government cannot use monetary policy, nor can it enforce fiscal policy.

With a government that uses deflationary cryptocurrency monetary policy is useless because it hinges on the creation of debt capital: literally printing money; a delicate balancing act keeping the value of the currency relatively stable. Fiat is inflationary in nature because it allows easier debt service and incentivizes investment.
Deflationary crypto incentivizes hoarding and therefore leads to wealth concentration and inequality. Monetary policy has no meaning with deflationary crypto because you cannot freely create more crypto; it must be mined or staked. Whilst arguably negligible resources are expended running printing presses for fiat, most fiat pumped into the economy is only a number on a screen. Crypto PoW requires an investment and PoS requires hoarding.
tl;dr monetary policy for deflationary crypto is impossibru

Fiscal policy is useless, too. Recall that fiscal policy is forced redistribution of wealth; the government claims that it can more efficiently allocate capital than the market can. The government coerces citizens through violence, or rather the threat of it, to extract wealth from makers to give to takers in the belief that this wealth distribution injects capital into the economy which then flows through and creates a net benefit, although measuring such benefits is quite a stretch.
Recall, too, how crypto incentivizes hoarding and note the inherent security of it: only through extreme violence (and prior knowledge of who possesses it) can crypto be taken from an individual. Fiscal policy for deflationary crypto is also a non-issue because it relies on coercion and violence which for crypto is non-enforceable and thus a non-issue.

TL;DR governments will never rightfully accept a transition to deflationary crypto because it would mean the death of them

If you're still here brainlet, maybe this will explain things for you. Sergey is trying to make Chainlink a real thing, something that will have genuine demand and use. Part of that will obviously include having a large ecosystem of independent node operators forming the Chainlink network. People who have talked about NEET nodes making a living off staking aren't quite getting the full picture. The reality is that right now the standard is quite high to be a node operator, you need to prove that you meet certain security and performance standards. Then on top of that if you're going to be supplying data for certain data feeds that cost money for you to purchase an API key those things can get really expensive really fast. This makes running a node a non-trivial task both from a maintenance point of view and a capital point of view. This is bad for NEETs, but quite bullish for Chainlink overall. Why? If being a node operator actually requires non-trivial amounts of effort then that means these node operators need enough of an incentive to actually run these nodes which is where the staking rewards comes in. If running a high quality node is something anyone could do with no effort and no capital then the value of Chainlink purely from a monetary perspective can't be that high. Bitcoin is at the price it's at now because it's an expensive operation to mine now. Obviously Chainlink isn't the same thing, but the general idea isn't far off.

There's a reason why early adopters are most based, we saw this s*** way ahead of time, and we had our ducks in a row. You'll find out the life of the other memes for those who chose to ignore our call to action. Never say that you hadn't been warned. Promise me that much. You stand on the wrong side of history.

Mind = blown. How did I never realise this obvious comparison before? Does this mean chainlink is anon in a tokenised form?

Those who said Sergey has no vision (the same speech!) have not been paying attention, particularly to his earliest appearances.

Chainlink is being constructed to fill the role of an idealised arbiter of truth, connected to the most perfectly dispassionate executor, in the form of public smart contract chains.

This is in fulfilment of the deepest Platonic ideals of contract and governance that have ever been conceived, but which have remained out of reach, mere approximations even under the highest forms of lawful Republic, as at every step human capriciousness asserts itself and corrodes the final product, the freedom of contract found when our pledges are given force by Leviathan. Alas, ‘from the crooked timbers of humanity, no straight thing was ever made’.

By redrawing the locus of consensus as that of a precise ledger with sound game-theoretical guarantees at its edges, and iron-clad stricture within, rather than a continuously renegotiated knife fight, the level of trust required to engage in mutually beneficial enterprise plummets precipitously.

But what does it plummet to? The trust required is now neatly circumscribed to the trust in the information delivered unto our new Leviathan. There is fortunately a market for this trust, a pool of agents who are willing to stake their reputation and collateral on any piece of digitisable information on which it is possible to come to consensus. The truth is a most excellent Schelling point, and one which well-incentivised agents can reliably settle on.

Do not underestimate the power and the generality of this arrangement in its maturity, nor the amount of human and economic potential that this will unlock.

Welcome to the trust market
