if you've ever tried to trade stocks in premarket or after hours you will know theres no fucking volume and it sucks fat dicks

i have access to trade stocks from 4am to 8pm every weekday but theres basically no point because the spreads are so fucking large. The only time its ever useful is during some news event or earnings report and even then you are better off just trading within the normal hours for the liquidity and small spread

And the main reason is because most brokers only allow trading an hour or so before and after 9:30-4 ET.

Maybe the real reason is that professionals don't want to be caught with their pants down while working a normal work schedule. It's the only class of people that the whole NYSE hours of operation scam benefits.

Wall Street pros already work lik 60-80 hours per week. Why would they want to work 100 weeks for more chances to lose money? Who the fuck wants to get margin called at 4am in the morning?
