Does anyone here actually care about crypto as a medium of exchange? I literally cannot think of a single use case for crypto besides anonymously buying dragon dildos and drugs online.

I actually use BTC to buy gold and silver. You get a discount using it and you don't have to give your bank info, so there's that....

Chainlink will give crypto real world use finally.

Yes, I do. Transaction fees are a massive pain and if crypto becomes a big exchange we can see the end (or large decreases) of this problem. Bitcoin is only the foundation and other coins can build off of what Bitcoin has provided with its ability to provide anonymity and not having to provide bank or credit card details to sites.

If a company wants to transfer large amounts of money it's like 99% cheaper to do it through crypto than a wire transfer

This is a lie op. Smart contracts are literally a meme compared with dragon dildos purchased anonymously

Bitcoin is just a test of distributed ledger technology. It works because of monetary incentives so people confuse it with currencies or assets. When your local warlord/president inflates the currency so you need wheelbarrows of money to buy milk it's easier to just use IOU's. How do you make sure the IOU notes aren't destroyed? You post them on a secure distributed ledger instead of using notes.
>but my transactions aren't worth the fees
Use cheaper, less secure but established alternatives like dogecoin.

BTC is seemingly infinite too, just look at the volume on the exchanges and then ask yourself how in the fuck they can trade 10's of millions of BTC a day when there are only 17million in existence...

Just put your money in it and the value will stay the same or increase over the long term. That's its only purpose

That's because we're in the very early stages. Also BTC doesn't represent all of crypto.
