I spent about 35k on high end photography equipment and lenses, and have since become a wedding photographer. In 8 months I've actually managed to build up a pretty stable business, first by shooting many weddings for free for people who didn't have a lot to spend (I had an online resume of my photography before that, wasn't like I just went on craig's list and said I'll shoot your wedding for no charge).

I have never been happier in my life. I have a paid off condo and I live alone now, 400k in various investments, and 100k in my checking account for day to day life, and now my crypto stack is huge again.

I am so happy. Thanks biz. And I wish I could thank that guy on reddit as well. Live your life the way you want, guys.

Well, I got a STEM degree from a very good school because even though I knew it was being paid for by my parents, I would never get some useless degree, and it's the people taking out loans for useless degrees that are causing the debt crisis.

I do think that you should be allowed to go bankrupt on college debt though. The rule should be something like, "you're allowed to go bankrupt on college loans 10 years after receiving your diploma". This would prevent people from immediately claiming bankruptcy on their loans after graduating. If you go bankrupt in your 30's it will severely hurt your credit, thus giving you an option to let go of the loans yet still incentivize you to pay them off as you should.
