computer screen at home vs computer screen at a work computer

This dumb boomer bitch from my work found out that I, a 22 yr old recent graduate, was still living with my parents.

She started lecturing me on how she moved out at 17 and "couldn't imagine living with mommy and daddy at my age". I told her that it wasn't ideal but at the moment, I'm cutting down on as many expenses as possible so I can invest my money and come out of the first half of my 20s better off than my peers.

I think she was coping or something because she immediately replied back that freedom was more important than money and that I shouldn't care about stuff like investing at my age.

"Anon, you need to focus on moving out and getting a car money isn't everything."

Ironically, she was the the least free out of all of us in the office. She comes in at 7 and leaves at 5, has been with the company for literally 30 years and drives an old European shitbox. She couldn't leave her job even if she wanted to and here she was giving me and the new guy a lecture on the important things in life.

They accept what they know to be a losing economic proposition so that they can spend their energy on other avenues for happiness. It's not my choice but I understand it.

There's nothing wrong with it really. Sitting in an air conditioned office is heaven compared to the excruciating lives of most people in human history.
