If you truly love airplanes then it is based. Otherwise long hours, most flights takeoff 6am and long trips lots of hotel sleeping and after pilot training you need to pass air liners' own screen processes for pilots which are even harder than pilot school (assuming you mean real pilot school) for example lufthansa rejects almost 100% of applicants :D
