it dead on arrival..

what would you buy.. rsr or libra?

with lirba everyone in the world has a facebook libra wallet you can sent to... every major company in the world accepts payment in libra... all exchanges have libra trading pairs... everyone knows about facebook libra and how to buy it.... it feels safer because fb and all the major corps running nodes

now compare that with rsr.. no one knows about it.. no one has wallets for it.. no one accepts it... and to make things worse it has a total marketcap of 300 million dollars... wont have trading pairs... and the seed investors are 5x+ up in gains and will dump after mainnet

rsr advantages? none. governments can ban the app.. so how are people going to transact and buy it etc..

That's entirely possible, and probable that Libra will take all the market that Reserve had hoped to get. I agree with everything you've written - it's not fud, that's the reality of this project - decentralized doesn't mean crap if all it takes is a dictator to tell apple or google to ban the app from the app stores. Was just kinda curious if there's something I'm missing. The project still intriques me, but it is most likely doa.

What I'm wondering about is if it will rise to something like DAI, and be used for collateral in loans like USDC and other stable coins in the growing DeFi markets. In that case, RSR might still end up giving good returns. But again, only if normies are using it to get loans. Which will probably be happening with Libra instead.

They can block either one. But part of Reserve’s pitch was that it’s decentralized and therefore can’t be stopped by some petty dictator. Libra never pretends to be anything other than Facebook bucks.

That's a part of being decentralized, if a govt. has issues they can quickly wind up their operations in that jurisdiction without affecting stability of the currency. They have a secondary token RSR that is used to stabilize RSV during fluctutions

They will have a much harder time to stop RSR since it's more decentralized then Libra, with decentralization comes also censorship resistance. So it will be harder to block or censor your transactions

Because RSR is already approved of by the United Nations.
Libra is an attempt at a corporate backed shadow bank used to facilitate tax evasion with FB revenues.
Since Libra isnt backed by the UN, it cant find its way into the 1.5 billion "unbanked" nations because crypto is mostly illegal in those nations.
Because of the UN, RSV/RSR will succeed where Libra can not.

Hence why RSR is a very obvious investment to make right now and why very big dogs are backing it whereas only corporate niggers are falling in line with Libra.
