No economic system will ever make the person with those feet not a mutant, so not everyone is ever going to be able to get everything they want

It's not an economic system, it's humans.
Humans will always want more.

Here's how it ends up working:

>There isn't enough stuff for everyone to have a decent standard of living
>Someone innovates to produce more stuff
>People have a decent standard of living
>People have more kids
>More population puts strain on the innovations
>People become poorer over time
>There isn't enough stuff for everyone to have a decent standard of living

It's what communists actually believe taken straight from one of their intellectual leaders

>> No.14302994

You know I don't blame communists that much. There's zero economic education. The laws of physics (newtons laws, thermodynamic laws, quantum mechanic etcs) are explained in countless youtube videos, books, lecturers, pop culture etc. If you said you made a perpetual motion machine, even a layperson would know you're full of shit. This is because most people know these laws, even if they don't understand the full theory.

But if you talk about Rent control, the average person can be lulled into a sense of agreement. Few people know anything about economics, even though economics (I think) is way easier than physics.
