So any project based on traditional currency is doomed.

What alternatives are there?

No they dont always win. That's not how things work. When you have such a defeatist attitude, you are on team (((them))), accept they see you as their slave.

None, because it's impossible to bootstrap a currency. That's why (((they))) took over the BTC dev team, and made hardforks extremely troublesome, so no one will be able to escape their chain.

Except LN is designed for fast, small transactions. You can still use the original protocol.

It's just a layer on top, not a hard fork like all the shitcoins do today. B-but muh scaling, we had to fork! Right and then (((they))) also have to do the same.

In fact, if you really wanted to destroy bitcoin, the best way would be trying to get a hard fork with breaking changes adopted by a large fraction of miners. Take away CPU power to make the chain less secure. And all the shady tactics, to get normies to use your shitcoin instead.

Best idea to accumulate that BTC then. Still faggots on here without any.

BTC is a brand. JUST a brand. If tomorrow people collectively decided to use, say, Nano, Bitcoin Cash or whatever else, nothing would stop them. Blockstream, etc. have no power over the will of people. If one complains that "ahh ahh they stole the brand", it means that he's simply unable to make masses use crypto as a payment system without using an established brand.

There are always options for people who want to pay with crypto. There's simply little demand.

Some make it look like that they're little demand because "BTC was hijacked". This is wrong. It's not about the brand. Bickering over the brand and how it was "stolen" is petty and weak.

Nothing stops the masses from using crypto payments if they wanted to. Nothing stops online communities from using crypto payments if they wanted to. Everything's already there.

Actually based

The reality is most folks leave funds in 'their' bank accounts without understanding what goes on. Its a HUGH leap for most to think/use crypto. To even get ppl to buy into BTC (the Coke Cola) is difficult. How can we expect the normies to make a logical decision?
The 'Market' will decide. We all know ALL markets are manipulated...

"everything is here already"
not saying you're wrong... but also not saying you're right.

what exactly has bitcoin? it stopped following the whitepaper and got stolen by jews. what has happened since then? nothing... absolutely nothing. well, besides very high fees and tx spamming by the same ones.

"adoption is here, look we are at 20k"
BULLSHIT

fact is, not even 5% of the world has used crypto. and they want control, including legislation, so they will continue ruling over everyone.

and no, if you own the creator project because you hijacked it and have the media on your side, since decades, it's definitely not "petty and weak"

2017 was a bubble. Almost no one in 2017 got into crypto with the intention of paying for stuff.

Bickering over the "stolen whitepaper" is stupid. Just because one brand of crypto may have a transaction bottleneck for whatever reason, it's not the one and only brand of crypto. Brand wars are stupid because they are a lame excuse. A lame excuse for why people don't want to pay in crypto. There's been lots of options and it's all about awareness, not petty self-righteousness about the correct "vision".

Step 4 is only a problem for late adopters. If we ever get to that point, the crypto market would be in the trillions of dollars and all of us early adopters will join the old money. Fuck those late adopter faggots, I'm tired of telling them about the future and getting dismissed as a kook
