Contemplating throwing $1,000 at some LP in their dex but thinking price is going to come down some while nothing is really happening on main net. Anyone else scoping or anyone bought and have feels to share?

What difference does it make, the more LP shares you have? Is it more you have, more link you can stake?

bought LP shares during the initial offering
was told by everyone (IRL and online) that it was a mistake and a scam
also held a significant portion of my crypto in Link during the bear market
both of these decisions helped my secure reasonable gains during the bear market
recently sold a portion of my LP shares and recovered what I initially spent
sitting comfy with the rest
keep this chart in mind, it might seem ridiculous at the moment but link has actually proven it is going to be a bluechip one day

you own shares of linkpool, and therefore are entitled to dividends from the profits

Linkpool is managing 33% of all Chainlink main net traffic, yet their market cap is only ~2% of Chainlink's cap.
Its a steal at these prices. Buy up to 20 ETH/LPS.
No stop loss.

Doesn't seem like there's any real risk at the moment given they're obviously going to be solidified into the network... the one big question I have is just how the ratio of value will translate in terms of the LINK token worth vs. the dividends.

Obviously you get more dividends for your $ with Linkpool shares but you don't get LINK tokens, I honestly have no idea how to estimate for that loss of value (especially considering LP shares will have their own intrinsic value)

I guess at $1,000 it's such a small amount compared to my LINK stack I might as well throw it in and see what happens

Are you burger? I really want some LP, but the KYC for NaaS makes me nervous since LP is technically an unregulated security, and they don't want US citizens owning shares

dividends are paid out in LINK tokens

Are you burger?
I come from leafland (aka Venezuela 10 years ago)
got whitelisted and went from there

It's unbelievable to me that (((they))) DICKtate to you bad goys in Amerikkka how you are allowed to spend your money, especially since you've already paid tax on the money you're holding
Almost like the fiat currency you hold isn't actually yours

Do you still need KYC to use linkpools DEX to scoop up LP shares?
Good luck burgerbro

Checked and basedpilled

But it's fucking retarded. The nanny state that we find ourselves in is a fucking travesty, considering the country was built by people who risked their literal lives to build it. I still haven't determined if it's worth doing what's necessary to get my hands on some LP

No KYC for the dex or the staking platform. There is just a message popping up that US citizens are not permitted to own shares and if you still buy them its at your own risk.

>> No.14001395

>>14001134
I'm not telling you what to do but the gov't isn't going to go after the people who purchased stuff and made a *wink wink* honest mistake *wink wink*, they're going to go after the company who allowed the purchases to happen. They might implement KYC for burgers on the LP shares (which I don't have issues with) in which case probably your worst scenario is having to sell them.

it is a disgrace indeed, won't get started on a tirade here regarding fiat slavery
conversely this state of affairs presents an opportunity for people like us
either we succeed beyond our wildest imaginations or we get taken out and the slavery state continues it's long slow march unabated

keep in mind DEX's work differently from normal exchanges
familiarize yourself with how transactions are handled in the DEX and be mindful that it is not like exchanges that you're normally used to (coinbase, binance, etc.)
to buy or sell, you have to match your order with a currently open order on the DEX. I handled my LP sale via metamask (wherein I connected my hardware ledger wallet)
the sale/buy of LP shares is done in two steps, also keep in mind you will need LINK to fund the trading fee associated with the LP order

further to the discussion, you will notice some smaller orders of LP shares are selling for a higher unit price
people are given discounts for placing buy orders of larger LP share quantities
ie:
>0.280 LP shares bought for a unit price of 17 ETH per share
>1 LP share bought for a unit price of 12 ETH per share
then again how much you want to buy or sell is at your discretion
cheers and good luck to all the lurkers here
link is gearing up to be a bluechip
also for those interested read this dissertation from a gentleman who works at ING

wut?
I'm a retail investor and am not affiliated at all with any of these groups, I simply have done my own research and am giving back to those who are curious as others helped me when I became involved (started btc mining in university around 2012 via my friends when we formed our local gaming and LAN group, unfortunately we sold off our btc at the time to buy higher powered gaming rigs lol)

if you have some ETH to throw at it it would be good to get up to 1.0 LP share. Your call, your risk
