Hey /biz/raelis

New York Life wants me to come interview with them. Now I know Life Insurance is a $hill industry, but at the same time I'm graduating this May with a Finance degree, zero experience aside retail (not even internship) and with a mediocre GPA.

Should I even consider them? Or should I just run run run away?

Run. I at least managed to work in servicing retirement plans for a shit salary. They tried to recruit me for this shit all the time. They will take anyone with a pulse without a criminal background. If they suggest you sell insurance to your parents, run as fast as possible

They mass call everyone, it's typically college interns and it's just a headache of an experience. Very unprofessional, they don't follow up and then another recruiter contacts you. I can't work for someone like this.

If you want to go the financial advising route, try Edward Jones maybe. Or Prudential.

She doesn't have parents or anyone to sell life insurance too anyways, like hell if id buy life at 23
