Oldfag here. FTM is a flavor of the month coin. Will not be around long term. If you're looking for an "ETH killer" there won't be one but Holochain and Zilliqa are probably the closest thing. Holo has a big dev community and Zilliqa is actually being used by big companies. FTM is pure moonboy hype (seriously imagine a real company using a platform called "Fantom" kek)

i am heavily invested in HOT as well, i only need another 10x to almost make it. Luckily, i caught FTM near the bottom in April and got like 1.3 million. Kind of pissed i didn't put more FIAT in FTM but back then I really thought BTC would dump soon and crash all alts. Hasn't happened still waiting for full bull confirmation though.

Not 100% sure about fotm EVM compatibility is a really strong argument for adoption, don't you think?

I'll be honest, the HOLO team is way too "diverse" for my taste, seems like a project that could easily be hampered by identity politics fuckery. FTM on the other hand is filled to the brim with turbo autist Koreans and white guys, who only care about results. As Andre Cronje said in an interview, initially they had huge fights with the Korean researchers about implementation, but then they could resolve the issues and Cronje joined them full time. The whole project has a no nonsense vibe to it, they are kinda shit with marketing, but that's also a good sign in my book.
