Well, you can hodl a bit and watch things play out.
But even if you buy $10k BTC @ $8k and BTC drops to $2k, you just lose $8k.
Most people can make that back in a few years, or get loans... but seriously missing out on a speculative 20% ROI (at the previously mentioned scenario) when btc hits $10k EOY is up to you.
