Unless you're retiring in the next 2-5 years, you should welcome a nice, healthy correction in the market. However you shouldn't sell and wait for it, the curve inversion only lasted 2-3 days, which is unusual and strong profits and low unemployment are signs of strengths. There needs to be more of a catalyst than a "trade war" that has relatively low affects on the overall economy. Even the student loan bubble popping would have minimal effects because the government backs all student loans. if someone could point me to data that shows we're in a massive bubble I'd love to read it, but even the high valuations for companies are justified due to their actual earnings, which is a farcry from the bloated P/Es of the nasdaq bubble.

Although I've started putting more cash aside, I am still dollar cost averaging into this market into companies I believe are undervalued and are defensive companies that fare better in recessions while also increasing their dividend. history tells me this will pay off well

then do it again with your loan payments, just plop a negative sign in the "r" value

and in finance there is usually at least one rate of change you want to be moving as much as possible...

Day trading buying power is different than a proper margin loan and usually allows a much greater amount, but it's exactly that, only for the trading day.!

on a short squeeze you want to set a limit or else they'll just hit your stops and take your shares. If you set a limit you are usually setting a higher price making the shorts jump for the shares.

Setting any type of sell with your broker creates a contract that they can't lend out your shares (if you're on cash account) they need to have your shares on hand for when it comes time to sell.
