VeChain's application wasn't denied. It is contested because there is a software company called Vchain in the UK, so the process is still ongoing rather than a rubber stamp acceptance. This is very common.

What happened with AMB was that the CEO issued a statement in which he flat out lied about the name change having anything to do with him or Ambrosus, claiming that it was an unrelated company. Despite his name being in the files regarding the transfer of ownership of the company the same day as the name change. He then continued the attempt to deceive AMB holders by attempting to register the VeChain name in the EU, despite VeChain's outstanding an ongoing claim. It is really schoolboy stuff, with a couple of kids thinking they are being clever by trying to squat on a trademark, when the EU courts have no time for this sort of nonsense.

The markets have responded appropriately to the display of immaturity and lack of serious business nous by dumping the AMB token hard.
