Anyone else here think that crypto has developed far slower than any other form of tech like the internet? Seriously Bitcoin is 10 years old already but it does the same fucking thing, Ethereum still doesn't do shit but run weird slow and expensive scripts and make useless tokens with no use case. Literally not a single fucking use case in my daily life. I was using the internet regularly 10 years after it became a public, doing more advanced shit than messaging like gaming and browsing for info.

Why the fuck is this?

>> No.13262530

because crypto has been adopted by clowns and its original intent has been replaced with the idea of getting rich quick

So it's simply just a get rich quick scheme?

Guess I have no real problem with that, as long long as it'll help me pay off my debt...

you are a fucking retarded brainlet m8. i dont even know where to start.

how about you go ask offshore billions, narcotic black market or venezuelans if bitcoin works. pretty sure the volume there breaks ath every few weeks and dn markets are still pure btc markets with tons of volume.

No I don't think that. Bitcoin functions as advertised. It is peer to peer electronic cash and that is all it needs to be to be enormous.

Other bullshit like dags and smart contracts are already being integrated in modern technological systems. You COULD use them right now but you don't because it is not publically accessible in truth yet, unless you want to learn their associated programming language.

>Bitcoin

>Fungible
Not as much as fiat. You can't trade anything with Bitcoin directly other than fiat.

>Non-consumble
Once you lost your keys, it's gone forever, equivalent to flushing your money down the toilet.

>Portability
Bitcoin can't function without the network which itself is not portable. The key is just a password to access your wallet in the blockchain, almost like a debit card.

>Secure
Bitcoin is exploitable through bugs and 51% attack.

>Durable
Bitcoin is as durable as the network it runs on.

>Highly Divisible
No one transacts with 1 cent worth of Bitcoin. Network fees put a lower limit on the divisibility of Bitcoin.

>Sovereign
It's issued by miners and sold in exchanges.

>Decentralized
Most mining is done by a few mining groups. The nodes are concentrated in a few countries, mostly in the US and Europe.

>Smart
Except for bug fixes, no new features have been added in over 10 years.

The internet was completely unusable for all but the most basement dwelling of people until the mid 90s, and only became generally used during/after the dotcom boom. Even then it was a slow, rudimentary pain in the ass until broadband became common. It took over 10 years to get to bbs. Compared to that, crypto is going warp speed.

The internet was a far more complicated system developed and improved through the collaboration of many companies, engineers, scientists, and technicians.

Bitcoin was worked on by a small group of developers in the beginning and that hasn't changed despite the massive growth and market cap. They and their backers continue raking in the money while barely doing anything. It doesn't look like they have any serious intention of making Bitcoin usable for everyone.

Computers were invented in 1950, i guess they were all hype because no one was using them in 1960...

Keep in mind crypto development os differnt than any other type of tech because it is mainly decentralized. Also, the very first implementation was 10 years ago, thats like saying in 1993 the internet was all hype.

It's just one team of neckbeards working on it. The unofficial contributors on github are just idiots doing bugfixes for free.

They don't. The plan is to get bitcoin in the hands of the banks and for plebs to trade bank issued IOUs. The can't realize this plan if bitcoin is working properly, nobody would use these Jews banks. So they purposely limit it, make it slow and expensive.

Lmao, you're just a fucking room-temperature IQ mook who doesn't understand the differences between crypto and the internet at all. I bet you didn't even fucking read the white paper.

People were fucking using the internet and cellphones even when they were slow. They weren't treating them as way to get rich quick. From day one, these technologies were used for their intended purpose. Crypto, on the other hand, was only used for speculation, and not as a peer-to-peer currency..
