because bitcoin is the only real money outside of gold, and what good is gold in a digital world? we've only had bitcoin for 10 years. bitcoin has been around for over 1/3rd of the total lifetime of the internet. as the internet gets even more mature, bitcoin will have effectively been around for its entire lifetime.
