Why are journalists allowed to write about things they have no knowledge of? Specifically, roasties and crypto. Almost every article I read that is critical of Crypto is written by a Roastie or has a Jewish last name.

because the average person doesn't understand bitcoin enough to distinguish it from neopoints or NBA2k18 virtual currency, and they are also in a constant state of survival stress and cognitive dissonance. They don't have money for bitcoin. So they will be more likely to click and generate ad revenue for an article that assuages their fears that somewhere near them behind a computer screen little kids are making more money this afternoon than they will in a year just by clicking some buttons on a computer
