american here, how can I join this revolution? I red a little bit about it, seems intersting, can I buy a planet and hope to sell them in the future for a x 50? Only stars holder will experience such gains?

Stars and galaxies are what will be in demand. There are 4 Billion planets to be spawned. Unless you get a really cool name there wont be any scarcity of planets in the next 50 years. Wait before you buy a planet though they fucked up the naming cryptography and allowed a small chance of name collision. Should be totally fixed in the next few days. Stars are auctioning on OpenSea.io

I'm so glad I got my stars this shit is the comfiest hold ever.

If Urbit takes off stars will become extremely expensive. Galaxies are already valued at $1M+. Planets are end user addresses and really not valuable. I could spawn thousands of planets right now if I wanted to.

Thanks
I have some questions:
1) Why if the stars could be so precious one day they sell them?
2) How did they get stars and galaxies for a good price in the first place?
3) why are they selling them for 5k? It's seems really too much, the prices could go lower by the time cause this is still experimental project
>>13025006
how much did you pay for them?

>> No.13025139

>>13025057
galaxies were selling for 1mil so urbit is already at 250m market cap

2 stars = equilvalent of about 30k link

if urbit gets to 250billion 2 stars will be 7.5million

Would you mind spawning me a planet friend?
I was looking at the language Hoon or whatever the other day, syntax is mad weird but its simple after that.

Project seems really really interesting.

I want to work towards getting a star sometime on OpenSea.. something about this project...

It reminds me of the world in Snow Crash.

Just don't wanna shill like $40 for a planet address on OpenSea.

Cheers.
