I'm losing hope. My job sucks. My portfolio sucks. My family sucks. My bank account sucks. My social life sucks. I've hit rock bottom and don't see anything going well for me for a long long time

It's attitude. Don't focus on the money (bank account and crypto).

Can you move somewhere else with a better job?

This. If I ever make it I don't even know what the fuck I would do with my life. Been grinding it out for so long. I would probably just keep trying to make even more money.

I'm gonna give you some wisdom anon, as someone who's been in your position not that long ago. Something I wish someone would have told me back when I was desperately sending online job applications to no avail.

You're chasing unfulfilling jobs; working for someone else; that you don't even want or are productive to your well being.

You should use this precious time you have right now(time is the most valuable thing we have) to develop a new skill; a marketable skill, with value that you can hone and improve upon over time and gradually acquire clients, or business. It doesn't matter if you only get work 1-2 days a week. You do this week in, week out, keep beating at your craft, keep getting a little better, constantly networking to drum up more opportunities to get paid for your skill. You do this until you find yourself with not enough time in the day. Then you have options and some good problems to solve. How do I service all these customers/clients? Do I upcharge my current customers/clients, or do I raise my rates for new customers/clients? Should I hire someone to help me, or to split the workload and divide and conquer more?

This takes TIME. Be patient. Set reachable short-term goals. But most importantly, START NOW. Be consistent every day. What skill do you want? Write? Speak a language? Repair computers? Set aside 20 minutes every day, silence your phone, and force yourself to work on this for 20 minutes. Do this every day, every week, no exceptions. You'll notice that sometimes, you'll get so into the zone that 20 minutes turns into 45. That's great, but the important thing is to stop talking about it, stop thinking about it, and just do it.

Good luck anon, know that there's way more out there than you think. (P.S. I'm making a blog on this stuff based on my experiences, realizations, and people I've met and worked with who are also self-employed/entrepreneurs/freelance. Will share on here once it's live, if anyone at all is interested).

it wouldnt hurt for OP to get a job and do that sort of stuff on the side. it'd give him a new perspective and ideas to look into. when he actually can sustain himself off his freelancing work alone, then he should think about moving away from his salaried position.

Now you just need to go out and get arrested to put the cherry on top. Then you've truly hit rock bottom. I recommend DUI, or perhaps the domestic battery is more to your taste

Alternatively, you could go see what that heroin thing is all about. That oughta make life a little more exciting
