Lost a bit from two things: KO setting new low on the downtrend (stopped out) and a dumb fiasco involving a low buy order I set on something that fell to my buy price, filled, dumped another couple percent on the way down. Normally I would have caught that but I took a three hour nap this morning.

I'm short on Nasdaq and S&P as of today. Very weak attempt by the bulls to break that S&P 2815 mark. The selling towards the back half of the session confirmed it. Who knows how long things will be but I think a retrace of at least a couple percent on the indices is coming.

Yes, but financial assets should 100% be things that you don't need today. You need a place to live today. If your house is too big or too expensive you simply shouldn't have bought it. That was a poor financial decision. Boom housing markets can pop up and feel a lot like a good investment opportunity but in the end if there's a booming housing market that's a residual effect of a booming market in another sector and your money would be better served there.
