>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

Can fellow anons give some advice on spending big on stocks. I don't have a lot of capital ATM but should have some in the next month or so. But I always panic when I do spend a decent amount as just a small change can result in losing so much money. How do you stay calm? Do you get used to it?

>Any idea how the 'big boys' trade options?
The 'big boys' (Warren Buffett, Carl Icahn, etc.) actually do very simple simple trades like covered calls, put sales, and synthetic stock positions; but this is only because no options market is liquid enough to handle billion+ dollar complex option positions.

Now, as far as relatively large options traders go (<$10 million options portfolio), they mostly sell strangles, iron condors, jade lizards, diagonals/double diagonals, synthetic covered calls/puts, etc. They also add or adjust positions to manage their portfolio's delta (directional) risk. There's a lot of management that goes into it, though.

Yeah, no. That will just bloat their risk exposure to specific options which they'd need to offset by buying and selling similar quantities of other options and/or the underlying. Market makers only look to make money off of the spread, they aim to perfectly hedge whatever market exposure they might have. If they know they'd be stuck with a bunch of risk exposure, they're either not going to fill the amount you want or you'll have to accept mathematically inefficient prices so arbitrageurs will be your counterparty--which is to say you'd have to accept selling gold at $1.2k even though the market price is $1.3k. There's no point.

Liquidity is king, end of story.

It's not an issue of running out, the harder it is to get the proper sand for concrete so does the cost of making concrete go up. A sudden increase in demand due to new industrialization may increase the amount of cement/concrete produced, but the increasing difficulty of getting that sand will only become more acute.

Marx actually predicted a phenomena similar to this, that the value of goods will increasingly be made up of the raw material within them instead of labor. Although, unlike his prediction, this isn't just because all other industries are becoming more capital intensive. It's also because the extraction process of natural resources becomes more labor AND capital intensive over time because all the resources that are the easiest to extract are exhausted first.

>she uses same app to track dieting, and a fitbit for fitness tracking too
>we start having daily exercise competitions
>cool, a new exercise buddy!
>she mentions something about her bf insulting her causing her to start exercising and losing weight (50+ lbs in 6 months!)
>mentions her bf still wont touch her (shes a stone cold fox now)
>buy weed from her and go out to her bar night dancing lesson next week, talk and casually flirt
>shes had same boyfriend or about 9 years now, i dont expect or hope for anything to happen with us
>this past week, snow everywhere, i have a bunch of canceled classes, she has no work half the week
>we make a "trade" on one of these snowdays, some of my weed for some time in that pussy (her idea)
>one time thing, secret, no telling, we just friends still
>shes talking more and more about problems with her boyfriend (whom she owns a house with and lives nicely)
>we do it again last night (no trade, she just asked for a free "quicky" late night)

If you buy 1000 shares of stock at $.50 and then they do a 20-1 reverse split to stay above the $1 minimum required for listing, your .50 investment is worth $10 now, and now you now have 50 shares. Now lets say it drops ~30% like MNGA did. Now it's $7 PPS. You didn't fucking make profit because you bought it at .50 cents and it's still at $7. Technically your .50 cent investment is now worth .35 cents and you have lost.

PROTIP: A reverse split will usually, ALWAYS result in mass sell off right after the reverse split resulting in heavy losses

Hey guys, just starting out and wanting opinions/advice. I'm looking for long term growth but I'm also looking to be as aggressive as possible in my growth over the next year. Crytpo isn't for me, just to skiddish. I do plan on getting an ETH coin next week, and maybe split $60 over 3 small guys. VOOG felt right, but now debating on selling and switching to Vanguards IT based ETF, or dumping it into more GE shares(18 pending market open). From what I'm reading and seeing, a lot of people are expecting GE to hit 16 within 12 months, so even if it hits 15, it would still be sizable growth. Thoughts/opinions?
