BTT just seems like a way for users to monetize the harddrive storage & bandwidth. Currently the only incentive to host/seed files is to "be nice" and "share". Swarms could be kept alive for much longer if there's a monetary incentive to seed.

Now I can get paid for my massive 200 TB of storage and expensive bandwidth. Previously that was not possible.

In theory it could develop into a p2p video streaming platform like youtube. if there's enough money in the system to support the mega seeders hosting most of the videos, then there could still be a huge base of free users that get to stream at lower quality, but still for free

This. BitTorrent could be a lot better, i tried downloading some old movies and all of the source had like 0-2 seeders. With money incentive pretty much everybody is gonna seed.
