LNBIG just reported he made about $5.70 running a lightning network node last month
And this is on a new network in a bear market

What's the chance staking bitcoin on the LN becomes a popular way to make more bitcoin

>> No.12592297

He also made that $5.70 charging very low routing fees
>One month ago i changed fees as 0.005% + 0.5 satoshies base fee

Thats 0.005% + $0.000015
Fractions and fractions of a penny to route with the abilty to do this 10,000 times a second per channel

>> No.12592528

I wonder if bitcoin can get an interest rate based off LN routing
And later other financial tools get built from that
I read a medium article discussing this last year

just curious anon, how many btc are you staking for 5.70$ fee/month?

I think he's staking a lot like not even worth the risk for $5 but this user is breaking ground for this new technology
Now im not sure but I think hes staking over 100btc he's the biggest liquidity provider on LN

It's not how much you stake but how active the network is and how competitive your fees are and who youre connected with a lot of different factors

Thats dope thanks for your service
Maybe there won't be any money in this if the network has people like you
