I used to be pretty bullish on Disney but I came off it. I thought they would kick ass when Disney+ launched but then I realized they were going to operate Disney+ and Hulu simaltaneously and charge for both. I don't think that's going to draw anyone away from Netflix like a combined platform with all of their media would do. Also ESPN just keeps getting worse and worse. People on watch live events on there but they end up paying so much in broadcasting rights for them it's not enough to prop up their other failing programs the other 20 hours of the day.

Also fatigue has to start setting in by now with capeshit and niggerwars. I mean you will always had a large portion of autists that will go see every star wars and capeshit film but you will never recreate the hype it had back when it first got rebooted three or whatever years ago as more and more normal people check out.

I am however very bullish on their theme parks and cruise line. If they would spin that off into a separate company I would be all over it. But as it stands I think it will continue to be weighed down by its media operations like it has for the past 4 years and streaming will just be another platform they need to sink money in to compete.

Thanks for the input! I'm convinced Netflix has maybe 3 or 4 more years to hold on to it's cultural status as a streaming service. I think Disney's box office domination as well as it's endless library of media, especially in the near future with the Fox merger, gives it a pretty big advantage over Netflix. Having the ability to double dip on it's content library with theatrical releases and then the streaming services is great. I've heard rumors of Netflix considering the possibility of releasing certain films in theaters before bringing them to streaming. I'm not too sure about that, with the raising of subscription costs and an trying something Disney already as in place, they might sour a lot of their customers. Though it's good to hear a less optomistic viewpoint. Good luck anon, hopefully DIS makes us RICH
