Is finance a meme degree? Im 28 years old no degree. Thinking about going to ASU for it. That or maybe airplane mechanic. At least their finance degree doesnt require a whole lot of math so I could probably pass the classes.

Are jobs in finance or simply working at a bank any good these days?

get a math degree anon, you can still go into finance with it but it opens up possibilities for other things as long as you can learn the extras yourself

I have never gone further than college algebra. I wouldn't be able to major in math . Can't I just get a job with a finance degree alone?

Is there a way to relearn foundation math before enrolling into uni? Finance is like cs - any good uni will always have strong emphasis in math so if you get the shit ones its better to major in math instead

Every degree is a meme

Just go do a trade apprenticeship, and when you don't get one because spots are limited and usually granted through nepotism, you can go work for Jeff at an Amazon warehouse

Kind of a meme degree but more specialized then something like economics. I would do something with computers or IT to really guarantee a decent job (50k or more) right out of college.

Dude life is a fucking meme. I know people who have STEM degrees and they're working at bars and in retail. I also know people who have shit degrees and also made bad grades in school, but now they're working at big companies and doing well in life.

you're 28 and trying to go back to college instead of just trying to find other ways to make money.

No, you're not going to make it. Why not enlist in the military and find a career through that way.

Dude, just understand anything short of a Masters at a good school with great marks and you will be in a sales job.

Most "analyst" positions at banks are literally just selling to clients and taking a fee for the firm.

T. deluded finance degree holder who thought I would be picking stocks at a prop trading firm.

just do what you want to do and the money will come eventually if you have enough persistence. like the other anon said, everything is a scam. No need to put yourself in 50k of debt.

College is a scam, there's nothing they can tell you that you cant already learn online for free

do it like me: get a shit degree in humanities, learn how to code and then look for a job in the US and/or in Japan.
