The entire point of dapps is to cut the shitty middlemen along with their legacy systems.
Literally none of the people that are now developing dapps on holochain give a shit about legacy systems.
3-5 years from now we'll have an ecosystem of dapps built on holochain that will be interoperable and will provide features that current centralized apps can only dream about. Either get on board or get left behind.

Will Holochain solve the oracle problem? I know holochain has great tech as im already invested. I heard Holochain's agent centric aproach solves the oracle problem by default.
Since you're not keeping track of a ledger but of agents and their reputation/state, an agent can publish all kinds of data and if he's reputable enough he can be used as an oracle, or you can even code several oracles into your hAPP by defining a trust/reliabilty threshold for your data sources.

Yes, you have it right! Holochain is not a blockchain, and it is the reason why it is good.
No, you don't have global consensus on holochain. You are right saying holochain isn't a coin that you hold like BTC. Holochain is a platform, like ETH, but much more sophisticated and without the issues you have with the blockchain. Holochain knows that blockchain isn't the answer for a decentralized internet; Holochain is.

Now, if you want currencies on holochain, you can have it. You want everything listed in OP, you can have it, and it is being built right now, and way more.

But since people are in big for currencies, I will talk a little bit about holofuel. Holofuel is indeed a very obscure currency; much different than what we currently have. It is coded in a way to grow rapidly in adoption faze, and become more and more stable in the long run.
HOT as a ERC20 token will stay when holofuel is live, meaning that you will be able to trade holofuel for HOT back and forth freely, as a mean to increase liquidity. Note that binance are also working with holo to adapt trading pairs with holofuel.

You know I actually really liked Holochain (and still hold a big stack) until I realised this - they're actively anti-privacy. And yet it'd be no issue to ensure that everything is able to be anonymous on day 1 - it's a deliberate decision so that it can be another Left oriented virtue-signal cesspool. Forking it or creating an alternative that has baked-in privacy (and still has the whole big DHT hosting thing) is what I'd like to see. You actually probably couldn't host a decentralised chan there - the whole incentive would be to create an anonymous end-to-end service so there is no failure point where glowniggers and shills could take over the site.
