friendly reminder that if you're saving for your "retirement" you're a fucking retard. my aunt just died 2 years short of retirement from working so hard. another guy I know died at 59. About 25%+ of you won't even live to see 64, let alone 70-74 or whatever the government pushes retirement age to.

Stay cucked you fucking sheep.

I'm sorry about your aunt. Investing for retirement means more than investing money in index funds. It also means investing in your mental and physical fitness by doing lots of exercising and reading. You must also find a career you enjoy, or one you can at least tolerate until you find something enjoyable. Keeping stress levels healthy is obviously very important. So all in all, people who invest for retirement while living unhealthy lifestyles all throughout their working lives are indeed setting themselves up for an earlier than expected death. Truly unfortunate. You must find a balance. Also, meditate frequently. That is all.

I'm earnestly expecting SEED to do a 10x when Tron starts getting even more popular from people wanting to get in on their ICO's and get passive income from them, and then I'll have around 4.6mil TRX. At which I wait for TRX to do a 10x and I'm a millionaire.

The security there is worth more than the joy of spending the money, even if I don't make it to 60.

For example at 33 my 401k already holds 200k due to the market growth over the past decade and maxing out the contributions. I can stop contributing today and odds are by the time I retire I will be a multi millionaire just based on the interest, tax free. The satisfaction of waking up and seeing my wealth increase by more a day on interest than when I was maxing out my contributions as a man fresh out of college is priceless and so satisfying. Just knowing your money is working for your twice as hard as you are working for it and you are taken care of regardless of what happens.

Also with technological progress I plan on living a very healthy and exciting life at 60, mostly in part to that money I will have. You'll learn to appreciate it when you're older though.

You assume everyone has a bachelors in their dream field and are choosing by will to make more money over it, instead of doing whatever to scrape by.

Fuck off, saving for retirement is a scam because it causes people to assume they'll finally get to relax when they're 60 and only have a few years left to enjoy it. It's a way of thinking implanted in the minds of the workforce to help them be okay with slaving away, knowing that if they just endure it, they'll have their day.

if it's easy and safe it won't be significant, because more people will be doing the same thing and resources are limited.

The entire america is investing in 401k, where does the money come from? For everyone to win in the country the money has to flow from overseas, but other countries also have their own 401k.

The only way this can be sustainable for all is if some workers die before retirement or before they can spend anything. This is a ponzi no different to btc but people are too self centered to think further than what is immediately around them

Add onto that that most of them aren't investing significant money and a lot of them panic sell the bottom during crashes. Also, unlike crypto prices aren't driven by finding a bigger retard to buy your bags at a higher price, it's driven by earnings. As long as people are still living, they will need to buy food and the latest smartphone. Stocks are a financial instrument of the elite and 401ks allow the average Joe to be a part of that with a small advantage. Hell, it could be argued that even the withdrawal age limits are to protect the little guy, because it makes them think twice before cashing it out to buy a BMW or Bitcoin at 20k. And if you do really need the money you can still take it out with taxes and a 10% penalty and still be ahead. There's literally no argument for not taking advantage of one as much as you can.

Eating animals is eating one's own. It is not a FOOD SOURCE per se, but cannibalism.

Consider another source of food. Plants.

Along the YIN YANG meridian, plants are opposite/complementary in most respects. Life forms, sure, and many realize now sentient.

However, plants and humans are symbiotic! One respirates Co2 and the other o2. One cannot live without the other!

Plants take non organic elements from the earth and make them digestible for humans. In fact, the only true source of minerals for human consumption come from plants. Elemental sources cannot be metabolized and end up causing sickness and death in humans.

Laughing out loud!

Human faeces is PLANT FERTILIZER! That which is SHAT is life giving food to plants!

Humans and plants have evolved together. There is much WISDOM which plants can impart to humans. One need only EAT!

like I'll work 3-4 years, live below my means, save a lot, do the daily grind, and then take 1-3 years off, do a bit of investing, work on side projects/businesses at my leisure, and then repeat.

It's not ideal for long-term planning, meaning if I make it to like 60-80 years old I'll be worse off than someone who just stuck with the grind the entire time, but I've been able to periodically enjoy myself throughout my 20s and 30s so far without really even being wealthy, just doing the flip-flop on career commitments.
