Housing crash?

Sounds good to me. I'm interested in buying but you'd have to be a total idiot to buy right now. Hopefully I can get a steal next year. I'll be living with my parents rent free until then.

low interest rates are what caused high housing prices, most people (idiots) while shopping for houses will only care about what the monthly payment is and will largely ignore the final sales price, as rates went down the monthly payment stayed the same even when prices went higher. Now that interest rates are headed up the trend will reverse and with interest rates so low even small moves upwards will see large percentage increases in monthly payments.

>> No.12315683

Zoomer won't be able to afford (the principal to borrow to buy) these houses at even half the price. Burgers live hand to mouth and zoomers even more so because their wages are shit and they are highly consumerist. They'd rather get a skin in fortnite than save.

Some older millenials were in a position to buy last time. This time, if it all comes tumbling down 2008 style, we're looking at even lower housing prices. In the US anyway.

LOL. The overall sentiment on /biz is that housing market is going to correct bigly.

This means that the absolute opposite is true in the near term (2-4 years)

I remember in 2012 listening to all the doom and gloomers like schiff, literally all you had to do was get financed on a 200k home here where i live and by now you gained over 100k in equity.

Don't listen to based boys on here who are stuck holding ICX and NANO from the top.

Besides, don't be stupid. Listen to Grant Cardone. Rent where you live, Own what you can rent.

I am an ausfag, I watched the boomer delusion over the past years as their real estate bags became more and more unaffordable, they watched the paper number go up and rubbed their hands as the jew, they forgot they actually needed to sell those bags to somebody. The downturn has started here and you can easily see the denial, it is exactly like watching the crypto late adopters, the market stages are real.

What is hilarious about real estate vs the crypto is speculators have literally gone all in on leveraged bets, people who bought the top are already starting to lose literally all their money, in this game bagholders don't end up at zero, they can keep going into the negative for years worth of cucking, if they were liquidated they will be paying (((them))) large chunks of their cuckcheck for nothing. > hurrr housing prices will crash and never recover

how completely retarded do you have to be to look at this chart and think housing prices will crash and stay down long-term? the population is growing faster than the number of available homes. if you are hoping for a 2008 level dip, you might be waiting longer than you think, and by that time the house you'll be buying will be on a lot the size of a fucking stamp. absolute retards. maybe housing prices will dive in bum fuck nowhere, but buying on the outskirts of desirable areas is a sold move... also buying
on the fringes of where the chinks are acquiring (as an investment, not to live with them).

>Boomers actually crashed the housing market this time
All you faggots blaming boomers for "Crashing the housing market" can now say that honestly. No, boomers did not crash it. If they did, you'd be able to afford a house. A crashed market means no one's buying and prices are at rock bottom. Well, this headline looks like that's actually coming true. And you should want boomers to crash the housing market, so you can actually afford a house.

Boomer portfolios are up over 300% in the last 10 years! Guess what... they don't give a FUCK if lazy millennial scum can afford their homes when they die. The same people saying to short the housing market are the ones who bought bitcoin at 20k because it was going to 100k. Now they are doomers, and they will get destroyed again by being priced out of real-estate. Boomers have mcmansions and retirement accounts that have gone 3x+ is the last 10 years, millennials and zoomers have mcjobs and diversity/gender quotas. Stay poor.

Hmm let's look at California
>be sanctuary state
>take in limitless immigration
>see crimes skyrocket
>decriminalize petty crimes to not make it seem like they are
>keeps skyrocketing anyway
>have 500 usually low-paying jobs available for every 5,000 people
>people still need a shelter to live in and basic necessities
>costs of living: buying, renting, groceries, utilities etc etc skyrocket due to demand
>highly-paid tech engineers live lower-middle class lifestyles due to living costs
>anything below is basically the working poor
It's almost like supply and demand has an effect on quality of life.

>> No.12325271

A lot of anons in here also fail to realize that as boomers die they will be leaving huge real estate portfolios to their heirs. Lets say that a zoomer inherits $2m in real estate in california, they then sell those properties, use 1031 exchange, and buy up 10-15 doors as rental properties in a better much cheaper growing market. California is probably going to have a bad housing crash considering their tax laws, on the other hand any state that has favorable laws is going to benefit (this helps sellers, who gives a shit about the pleb buyers). The truth is, just because you are a doomer with 100 bucks in your bank account and all your friends are doesn't mean the rest of the population is like you haha.

don't forget all the huge amounts of regulations they have there that prevent new housing from being built, if regulations were relaxed apartment builders would be flooding the areas with cheaper apartments.

Some of them become successful and can afford the homes. Many of them become dual income families making $150k+ a year. Lots of people are doing really well. I used to sit in my cubicle surrounded by other people living mediocre lives and wondered the same thing... how the fuck do people afford these things when I could barely afford the mortgage on my 100% FHA financed shitbox in a bad neighborhood and my 88 buick century limited piece of shit with a plexiglass back window because some nigger smashed it. Then I discovered the income red-pill... which is working for yourself. Honestly it doesn't even matter what you do as a self employed sole proprietor... even just mowing laws or performing a trade would be 1000% more satisfying (and profitable) than slaving for a corporate conglomerate. Start with doing some simple math on paper (a pro forma). Start small. Do the work yourself at first. Acquire clients. When you can no longer keep up w/ client demand, begin hiring and work with your first employee. With your growing customer base, consider adding upsells that are related to your core business. Continue to grow and hire. Eventually you transition from working owner to managing owner. Now you focus on expansion and efficiency. Now you're a businessman, and you will meet other businessmen who are also successful. Success breeds more success. You will find yourself in new social circles (because your old friend will resent your success). Your new social circles will inspire you to keep thinking bigger and finding new ways to grow income. You just need to make a humble and honest plan and stick to it. It will require you to work weekends while still wagecucking to get it off the ground. Eventually you will be passing up $300 in self employment income to make $150 in the cubicle, which will give you the courage and inspiration needed to leave on your lunch break and never come back like I did over 10 years ago. Just do SOMETHING. Anything.

>Boomers leaving houses to their kids instead of cashing out to the highest bidder

I've seen Boomers with legacy businesses not even offer to pass it down to their children because they'd rather get a sum of cash instead. Millennials can't rely on inheritance. There's a ton of Boomers hiding their debt and their estate will pass it over to pay off that debt.

When exactly can the millenials expect their inheritance? When they're 50-60? What good does that money do? Millenials need the cash infusion in their prime, not when it's too late to build a life, but Boomers will literally not trust their kids with anything of THEIR'S!! until they are dead.

Yeah no and that applies on a global level.
Their whole generation is greedy as fuck and fucking terrible with money.
>Grandparents used to own multiple homes and have 6 figure income.
>Sold them for quick money.
>Now own no real estate at all and pay far too much rent for their little home.
>They've developed tens of thousands of debt.
>Getting too old and worn out to work. Their 6 figure income is going down and they're soon unable to pay their rents.

democrats just took the house and their corrupt "investigations" have only begun - and you think US population will decrease? dems proved they are willing to steal elections and the repubs proved they will do fuck all about it. the usa won't be facing population decline unless trump can actually drain the swamp, and it looks like it would take 5+ back to back terms in order to truly clean house. the fact you think housing prices are just going to magically drop by 50% or more without a sharp rebound inside of 10 years, you're just coping for your lack of skin in the game.
