The truth is that gold is a 100% inflation play. There is absolutely no other reason to hold it.

This upcoming crash can either be inflationary or deflationary. It all depends on the dollar stacking up again like it did in every other recession except for the 1970s.

Time will tell. It could be one, and then the other. Deflation happened in Germany before the extreme inflation. Its a function of monetary policy.
