bear + bull + small spec = ?

You should be able to solve this /SMG/ !!!!

>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

I've started trading with chump change 3 months ago and I'm up about 50% (mainly by shorting AMD and AMZN and a bit by longing dude weed).
Admittedly it's a short time frame and it was definitely mostly luck but as I said I don't give a fuck about retirement.
I'm not a retarded permabear, though. I do intend to go long once I think the bottom is in and I do add another thousand bucks every month. At least that's the plan.

Hey Faggots,

My name is Jerome, and I hate every single one of you. All of you are poor, retarded, degenerates who spend every second of their day looking at stupid ass charts. You are everything bad in the the economy. Honestly, have any of you ever gotten any profits? I mean, I guess it's fun making fun of people because of their gambling addictions on weekly options and chinese scam stocks, but you all take to a whole new level. This is even worse than buying BGFV at $9.50.

Don't be a stranger. Just hit me with your best shorts. I'm pretty much perfect. I am Chair of the Federal Reserve of the United States, and hand picked by President Trump. What investments do you make, other than "buying the LCI dip because of muh share structure and epic short squeeze"? I also get mad gains, and have a banging hot interest rate (I just did some rape hikes; Shit was SO crash). You are all faggots who should just liquidate your portfolios and apply for a job at McDonald's. Thanks for listening.

Watermelon/Cherry = (e+pi)
(assuming cot^-1 is using radians)

Watermelon = (e+pi)*Cherry
Cherry = Watermelon/(e+pi)

since e + pi is irrational, and if Cherry and Watermelon must be integers, then

Watermelon=0

K. I remain most bullish on US based companies. Most of these trade on the Canadian CSE and OTC in the US due to federal legal issues on account of the dude weed being state legal/fed illegal.

Curaleaf, Cresco Labs, Trulieve, Green Thumb Industries, Acreage Holdings (I'm iffy on these guys but they're pretty big and have a lot of licenses), iAnthus/MPX Bioceuticals. One other with a shitty chart but could be good at some point in 2019: Charlotte's Web

I made the best gains on Tetra BioPharma today. It's a conventional biopharm meme focusing on weed based conventional pharmaceutical sales route (clinical trials, Health Canada/FDA approval, DIN get).

Yay! My pension monies from a former wageslavery gig came through in to my locked retirement account today. I can't contribute money to it or withdraw any until I hit the age limit but I can trade inside it. Looking to put together some kind of boomer dividend and ETF type portfolio on it. Not at all my wheelhouse as far as the stock market goes so I will have to do some research first.

If you are buying individual REIT for high yields, consider the following ETFs
ETFs with similar yields to risky, small cap REIT are just a no brainer. They spread out risk and offer a more consistent source of income. Examples: (Data from TDA)
MORT: 8.13% yield
REM: +9% yield
KBWY: 8.62% yield
IVR:: 11.59%
Other examples of sustainable larger REITs with little to no debt and actually have a sustainable EPS to DPS are
NLY: 11.8%
MFA: 11.9%
I'm sick of Seeking Alpha articles by (((pros))) recommending microcap REITs with shit financials and mediocre yields to me. When you're company is triple leveraged with debt and you're still paying a dividend that's twice the amount you make per share, how is that a safe bet??
The article that triggered this melt down is:
https://www.forbes.com/sites/bradthomas/2018/12/28/the-10-best-sleep-well-at-night-reits-to-own-in-2019/amp/
These are not actually """safe REITs""", in fact the most basic of FA would indicate they are trash.
The author barely puts any effort into this, then shills his PPV blog where he puts out similar garbage
This is unaccebtable, and all these (((experts))) need to hang

Are you saying that the author has the ability to be completely have zero intellectual honesty, and it's the readers fault for believing him?
When a normal person reads a publication like Barrons, they believe the author has SOME credibility to be writing their. Publications like that lend ethos to the writers argument
All investors should read /smg/s OP obviously and not buy random shit, but believing that it is the readers fault for the author producing bad content on a quasi-respected main stream news article is foolish
>nobody is responsible for another person's financial decisions

I think Marx certainly has some problems, but I don't think one of them is that he wasn't anarchist enough.

Rather, he was too hegelian, idealist and humanist. This was where he started out philosophically and he gradually shed these frameworks as he continued, but he never was truly able to escape them. To me, the most valuable parts of marx are the empirical and historical analysis.

If you want to know which theorist I actually idolize it'd probably be Althusser, his Philosophy of the Encounter is probably the only book on theory I actually agree with 100%.

I view stock market advice as like reading the fine print. To make all the best moves, you'd have to do a ton of research every day on companies and never make a wrong interpretation. That's too much for most people. So the stock advisors come in and get paid to "read the fine print" for the users, not to actually make good decisions.

>promise the poor ( and to a lesser extent, those that are "deserving" of wealth) that they will be better off after this revolt happens
>rich fuck off to another country with their wealth
>poor are mad you havnt fulfilled your promises

and bam, you have cascading revolutionary governments and turmoil

the only way to have true social upheaval that is benefitial is to first have the whole planet united under one government

and even then, you need unbreakable checks against corruption, or else human nature will tear apart every benefit you ever had

Communism can't exist because its central premise is wrong. It attempts to lift the stupidest and poorest elements of society to that of leaders, then wonders why everything went wrong. It attempts to save everyone (except the people actually capable of progressing society) when we actually need LESS people alive, not more. And worst of all, all modern interpretations of it condone faggotry and social degeneration, so while you're starving and poor you don't even get a high-trust, family-oriented society, you get trannies out on the streets prostituting themselves.

As I've mentioned before, what generally gets moved in capital flight is money capital. Physical capital is much harder to move. Communism is about the working class expropriating the capitalist class, but it's not really about taking their money, it's about taking their role as those who coordinate production. The rich have destroyed the means of production in the past in large wars, but the kind of war that entails is less likely in an age of nuclear weapons and the level of state control that entails.

I really don't think you've shown any of that requires a one world government or some kind of infallible government.

>>12269817
>>12269822
>>12269843
>>12269917
Communism isn't about some arbitrary leveling and destruction of pay differentials or hierarchy. It's about how we coordinate production, where the base of power lies in society. In the most primitive societies, the tribal chieftain, even though he is the strongest and most powerful member of their society, is usually the poorest. Hierarchy persists, but it exists to serve the mass of people. This, is of course primitive communism, and industrial society means that things will be quite different in the future.

As Lange pointed out good incentive structures within enterprises are the same in both communism and capitalism. What is important is not those incentives, but giving workers a say, running production according to the needs of those who are being produced, for, rather than the profit of private owners, as well as giving people more free time as production becomes more automated and efficient.

I should also mention, communism isn't about justice, it's about the iron necessity created by a falling rate of profit, ecological collapse and the irrationality of capitalist consolidation.

War, new societies and economic systems, these things aren't born from dreams of utopia, principles about fairness. These are the surface level, the ideology which covers the underlying material differences produced by state and class power. Hippies didn't cause war over their dreams, and neither did neoliberals. The wars of Bush, Reagan, Thatcher, Blair and the rest weren't done in the names of the neoliberal ideal, they were done out of the necessity of their respective empires and the interests of their respective capitalist classes.
