How often do you guys negotiate for your new positions?

Recently left a place, got a 50% pay increase, better benefits, WFH, promotion etc but I feel like I coulda got 5k more as its an undesirable shift

Gonna try to impress really hard in next 6 months / year and hope I can get a bigger raise / bonus

Accually happy for you mate.

The mindset is super right. Most people on biz just complain, reason they allways get shit end of the wage spectrum.

Prove yourself highly valuable in anything you do. Do more then needed. Show class, intelligance and creativity. Doesnt matter how shitty job it is. They will allways want to keep you as far as they can, and if they no longer can keep you, they will give you excellent recommendations.

Even in mcdonalds, those that show work mentality, calmness, orderliness, they get raised up to sub managers, managers, regional managers or other openings in the company that give you entrence to maybe other aspects of work market and you can leave mcdonalds for something better.

Im happy for you mate. Here 's some tits for you

You have to show work ethic and ASK for a raise. Trust me when I tell you, nobody is gonna look at your rising numbers and say, wow he’s making us a lot of money, let’s give him money.

Yeah, I always keep in touch with my old bosses too. It's best to leave on the best terms possible, go out of your way to make the transition easy on them, be available if they have a question after you leave within reason. Old bosses on your side prove to be highly valuable.

Thing to be careful about with leaving is that you don't want to be seen as a job hopper. Those resumes with a bunch of 2-3 year stints show you are just going to hop from the next job so why hire ya.
