>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

When the next crisis blows over I'll own a shitload of earnings power I bought for pennies on the dollar and my portfolio will skyrocket off the bottom. Might even buy rental property if it gets cheap enough, because I have a safe government job to service the mortgage, great credit score, and almost zero expenses (live with and take care of grandma). Unlikely, considering the current heat in the economy and the amount of leverage that's increasing. In order to get that kind of performance, we'd probably have to see some austerity from corporations, and deleveraging to prevent a recession and big defaults. I simply don't see how that's going to happen in the next couple years, let alone months.

This was the period of the largest drop in the rate of profit in industrial capitalism and was the consequence of the social democratic post war period. To the extent this might happen again it would be the result of decreasing exploitation and increasing organic capital composition in China. While they're now up to middle income status, I don't think they're quite at the level of development required.

By this time next year we will be enduring a crash that leads to a massive contagion of defaults and bankruptcies in small regional banks and perhaps one or two large ones, leading to massive consolidation of finance without some kind of policy intervention.

For the first time in history the FDIC's Deposit Insurance fund will be blown the fuck out and they'll have to resort to government revenue streams such as borrowing or taxation to preserve the federal guarantee on deposits.

Small banks have been sold complicated CLOs from larger banks who cannot hold them, including CLOs of repackaged small bank debt. All of which counts towards their reserve requirements. This will explode big time.

This time the rate of profit will decline permanently as we see higher class conflict preventing higher levels of exploitation in developed countries, as well as in China. As the recovery begins, we will see massive capital investment in places like Vietnam, India, and Ethiopia, in search of better profits with cheaper wages and lower levels of organic capital composition.

Screencap this.

>Schumpeter

Literally the most chad economist in history:

>Schumpeter claimed that he had set himself three goals in life: to be the greatest economist in the world, to be the best horseman in all of Austria, and the greatest lover in all of Vienna. He said he had reached two of his goals, but he never said which two,[5][6] although **he is reported to have said that there were too many fine horsemen in Austria for him to succeed in all his aspirations.**[7]

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-10-20/cdo-revival-led-by-hedge-funds-pinning-hopes-on-smallest-banks

As for the rest, half of it's based on my conversations with people who work in banking regulation, half of it is my study of the falling rate of profit and it's effects on globalization, which I got from Fred Mosley's work like "the rate of profit in the Post-War US", examining congressional testimony from the period of financial deregulation, and looking at how the global FDI environment helped countries with strong industrial policy like china, so I guess that'd be world bank data.

On a tangent the use of big words is mostly an ego thing. Again most of his mind is used to ignore his own hypocritism. Say that somehow his liberal arts degree is better for society than a researcher trying to cure something or an engineer actually working on something productive.

It's a sad state of existence and only the fantasy of communism keeps it all together. He is too stupid and unoriginal to come up with something himself so gloms on to a shit idea like communism and comes up with some tweaks (that would still result in hell on earth) to say he has some fantastical system that would make everything better.

It's a sign of relatively mediocre mind and low IQ.

Historically, "communism" did actually industrialize many countries. Economically, the reintroduction of capitalism to the communist bloc did more damage than Stalin, even if his human cost was larger. Soviet economic growth was quite high in the 30s, even despite the famines. But, we should also keep in mind these countries were originally semi-feudal backwaters, they were trying to emulate capitalism's development, and it's no wonder that socialism wouldn't be as good at that as capitalism. What I am interested is the future of capitalism's development.

From Utopian One-worldism to Geopolitical Intergovernmentalism

The reason 99% of big words are used in intellectual circles is ego and to disguise boring thoughts. It's just a manipulation trick to hide that the points are rather stupid. By using a big word they can hide meaning behind vagueness so the reader can insert a complex meaning.

It has almost nothing to do with expressing something and more to do with a hack to hide meaningless statements.

If you didn't use big words the study and field would look stupid to everyone else. By using big words you can impress outsiders and hide the fact entire swathes of social sciences and other studies are in fact childish.

Lets take a field based on evidence, science, and that is in extremely high demand.

Our goal is to train a policy for autonomous driving via imitation learning that is robust enough to drive a real vehicle. We find that standard behavior cloning is insufficient for handling complex driving scenarios, even when we leverage a perception system for preprocessing the input and a controller for executing the output on the car: 30 million examples are still not enough. We propose exposing the learner to synthesized data in the form of perturbations to the expert's driving, which creates interesting situations such as collisions and/or going off the road. Rather than purely imitating all data, we augment the imitation loss with additional losses that penalize undesirable events and encourage progress -- the perturbations then provide an important signal for these losses and lead to robustness of the learned model. We show that the ChauffeurNet model can handle complex situations in simulation, and present ablation experiments that emphasize the importance of each of our proposed changes and show that the model is responding to the appropriate causal factors. Finally, we demonstrate the model driving a car in the real world.

Versus social science

In this article I summarize some main points from a larger study which I am doing on theoretical conceptualization of the formal/equal patriarchy of today. Although I see myself as a socialist feminist, applying historical materialist method to feminist questions, I am critical of contemporary socialist feminist theory for not taking the issues raised by radical feminists seriously enough; for clinging too closely to the specific Marxian problematique of political economy and class; and for not stating the basic problem as one of power transactions in the relationship between women and men as socio-sexual beings.

Whereas actual fields only use the DSL when necessary and for their actual audience. The use of vague big wordism in charade fields is to hide meaning and to leave things up to interpretation due to lack of substance.

I think the most likely scenario in both cases will be the first move gets it wrong and then strong in the other direction. So if they raise rates, there may be that initial selloff, but the fed is telling the market that everything is strong enough to absorb a slight rate increase and buyers would step in. I don't think the market is heavily positioned enough on one side for a straight move in one direction. The other factor is there is a press conference, so statements from that may carry more weight this time than the actual hike or not.

your really missing out, vocabulary isn't something that confines, its something that creates
the word is sacred, there is an ideaspace that can only be unlocked with higher tiered thoughts that literally require "big words" to fully define

They seem to be the future. They are huge in new technology. And also look at stuff like how they are building high speed trains all across their country to make transportation fast, easy, and cheap while we burgers have to depend on cars with all of our traffic, slower speeds, more accidents, higher costs, and space take up of roads. I honestly think they are the future.

Well China will almost certainly be the largest economy for quite some time in the future, so it couldn't hurt. Knowing foreign languages is always a good skill to have, I'm unfortunately not very good good with the kind of learning involved, but good luck! I think you should go for it!
