If you are still in high school, those kids that are the most well off/have the highest grades... their parents own a business of some kind or have stable, long careers. Any job you can get with no skills will likely never develop transferable skills and no pay raises (waste of time).

You could become a supervisor in retail or in fast food in like 12-18 months if you should any competence and you try and learn everything there is to know. That will give you decent money in the next two years or so. I don't think there's much advancement beyond that though, you can still move up but it would likely take years.

I've been working longer than you've been alive, I've never heard of anyone getting caught. Just don't lie, anyway - there are companies that will hire and train salespeople at your age. Just know that sales is one of the most competitive and cutthroat jobs out there, and you better be good at hustling, because that's all it is.
Call all of the local employment agencies in your area, too. A lot of places hire for temp work that isn't office work, like factory work, or cleanup crews, or demolition crews. Get a couple gigs under your belt, get some experience, figure out what you want to do, and start applying for serious jobs.

You're 18. You're gonna eat shit for a couple of years, then you won't - if you have half a brain. If you live at home, STAY THERE, save your money, and just start taking jobs, and try them out. Nobody expects an 18 year old to start a career at that age.
