bulls on suicide watch edition

>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

I'm 35, 15 yrs to go till I can retire from my job w/full benefits
Current retirement plan is thus:
401k (starting in 2005)
Pension
15K in the bank, gonna add 2k to this each year for 15 yrs. Plus whatever I get back each year in tax refunds. Had 20k but shit came up.
Investments, just started. Gonna dump money into it each month for 15 yrs.
Got some Bonds getting ready to hit the 30 yr mark soon. May roll that money into a long term CD or CD ladder.

The goal is not to get super rich but to enjoy life so that when I retire in 15 years at 50, I don't gotta work if I don't feel like it. The only debt I have is my house and credit card (1k). Car is paid for.

you know that barrick gold is the biggest gold company out there with billions in assets? It's not a fucking pennystocks that lives of debt.

Also when interest rates are going up people go out the stock market and go amongst other things into gold, the past has show this very often. For every % gold goes up barrick's stock goes up like 5 or 6%

Basically they beat earnings because they moved their quarterly dates around a bit and priced in some holiday sales... something like that. Meaning the next quarter will have worse numbers to report.

That alone is kind of minor but this is a company that, from what my quick searching around indicated, has an established history of pissing off shareholders with bad earnings and bad decisions. Low confidence from the market. Meaning a large percentage of the retail shareholders are likely swing traders who scatter like cats when the wind shifts + probably GPRO is a favorite whipping boy of the short sellers due to that weakness in confidence.

yes mobile games are mostly targeted for asian markets. best cash cows are the games that they buy stuff on on constant basis. there are few mobile game companies with staff of 50 people, revenue few billion usd and profit 50%, like 1500m profit of 3 billion revenue. ant that's annual basis!

that being said diablo brand has no history in asia, they dont give a shit about it and have never played it. so it's a total gamble, probably end up a mobile game withing thousands of others for asians

Aged 22 and have about a 760 credit. Half paid off a 2 year car loan. About 7000 total debt, over 750 credit score. Make 80k a year.

What would you give me as a personal loan if you were a banker? What should I realistically expect? I’d consider a 5-year payoff period, and would hope for under a 10% APR. I’d like to borrow money for investment, probably selling 15% monthly cash-secured puts on big index ETFs. I figure that’s about 85-90% percent chance per index. Probably would sell covered puts on short-ETFs if I get more bearish in 2019.

How bad an idea is this? The only downside I see other than obviously losing the money, is that it fucks my credit up. I feel this would only be worth it if I can at least borrow a huge sum (for me) on the order of 50+ grand, which I doubt I’ll get.

Also mistyped again. 15% meaning I would write cash secured puts about 15% out of the money. More realistically 10% OTM monthlies and 5% if I do weeklies. 20% for longer periods.

I do not want the ability to write naked puts at this point hence the need for capital.

My spare income is 3 grand a month after taxes and expenses and I’m already dumping that into my investments. But writing ETF cash secured puts or day trading is out of my reach for a while as I dump more money in slowly. I just don’t have enough for it to be feasible right now. That said, would you see benefit in dumping more money into paying off the car and then once that’s done take out a small investment loan? I just see right now as the only time I’m gonna realistically get a low interest rate, but the con is that I already have a low interest rate on the car.

Either way you need money to make money and since I don’t have it I can’t even feasibly execute any reasonable strategies

I have seen dates anywhere between the 8th and the 12th. 12th seems to be the most popular assumption now, that might even be official at this point. Acreage will trade on the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE). You'll have to look up what sort of arrangement you need to use to buy from EU. Fair warning: IPOs in the dude weed have a checkered history. If Acreage opens at a significant premium over its highest funding round prices, stay away until the share price settles.
