Is it a good idea to build a fake portfolio to get a good job as software developer?

E.g.: make a slick minimal website, dump on some code from Kaggle, Github, buy a few app templates and pretend that you wrote them. And make slight modifications so it becomes hard to trace the original source.

I can write software on a junior level but I got no portfoilio and I am to impacient to start at the bottom of some shit company.

Is this a good idea or no?

My plan is to just marathon study the days before the interview.

I'll just watch Udemy courses or something for 15h per day as preparation to the interview for a couple of days. And I'll watch a few videos about likely job questions specific to the languages/tools they work with.

From my personal experience in programming I know that you forget most shit anyways. I mean sure you the things I have done often I know how to google in like 2 seconds, but it's not like I can recall every single thing I have learned in the past few years from memory.

But yeah I don know, so if a more experienced anon has any insights they would be appreciated.

I have a masters in AI. Probably have like a year of experience in creating a mobile app, 2 year of creating various (machine learning) python scripts, and 4 years of on and off Java coding.

I am not great by any means, but I know the basic stuff.

Do it. Employers are asking for rediculous qualifications. Most of the people that I know who have got high paying jobs have done this. Fake it then figure it out on the job. As long as you are capable and can eventually do the work you will be fine. Pajeets straight up lie about everything including their education and then get their roommates or spouses to do thier work.

I'm not that profession OP, but I've made fake resumes for the past three jobs I've had, including the one I have now.

For the job I have now I put fake companies on my resume that made it look like I had 20 years experience of doing it, even though I had zero experience. Interviewed with 10 companies, 7 of them could tell I was bullshitting and didn't call me back, the other 3 companies made me offers because they couldn't tell, and I accepted one of them. I've been working there 6 months now and everything's fine. They bought my bullshit in the beginning and I just faked it for the first couple months until I figured it out.

I took the job that someone else deserved who had the actual experience, and I've pulled that off 3 times now at companies. I'm not that smart either (I'm kind of a bonehead), I just believe that it's possible to do and believing that has opened up job opportunities.

Could work to be honest. You are pretty qualified already imo. Its not like you literally have zero experience and have to start from nothing.
You can learn on the job and maybe do some extra learning at home youll be fine.
Everyone lies in their resume by the way and most of the time employers don't bother to check of its legit

Depends on your chops, cramming rarely works with software developer interviews though.
The flaming hoops of those interviews are retardulous.
If you study memoization & they will ask about promises, async/await. Or ask you logic questions with more than one answer to see 'how you think'.... Generally they will put you through way too much because they will declare you aren't a 'culture fit' & opt for a diversity hire who can't fizzvuzz their way out of a for loop.

Thanks for the affirmation anons.

Yeah I know it won be easy and I might fail a couple of times, but I think if it has a chance of working it is worth skipping the 3/5 years of doing boring junior level coding.

If I can lend a job at a good company, and I can work on interesting projects I don't mind working my ass off inside and outside of office hours for a couple of months.

And yeah obviously I am not going to try this at a Google or IBM type of company.

Agree with doing it.
Cmon OP, didn't you learn on biz the last years.

shill whatever ..that's what makes the money
delude your employer
then extract the funds
have you ever seen a happy wagecuck story?
it is never a symbiotic harmonic relationship
either employer r4pes you or vice versa... prey or predator, better start whipping dick out first
