I was thinking about this earlier today.. kinda strange that in a time of electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles becoming the norm it'd be retarded for a company to go all in on trucks and suvs.. but... what if they are doing that so that they can basically corner the market.. undercutting the price of all other truck brands while having a really good product because they are focused on that one product and making it the best they possibly could.. this would drive alot of people to buy a Ford truck or SUV because of price and quality... but then.. also i was thinking.. what if they are putting those extra resources into designing an electric car.. would they need shareholder approval for something like that or can they do it on a top secret basis? It's not a scam as long as you can get fixed rates and buy when the rates are low.
Renting is pretty bad as far as money choices go.

Ford cut out of the economy car market because the competition is too much. You have better economy cars American and Foreign made. Ford's truck brand is strong, but they're wanting to expand that back with the Ranger model which fills a huge gap for smaller trucks that just completely vanished from the market over the past 10 or so years and has little used and new competition right now.

Also they're keeping the Mustang which is very competitive in the cheap sporty car world and the designs recently have really been ahead of the competition namely the Camaro. The SUV market is always getting bigger so staying in it makes sense as well.

I keep hearing that the new CEO at F is retarded, but this move itself was really smart. F doesn't have a green history and none of it's green moves have gone over too well. I think long term this is a really great move for F, but the stock price seems completely disconnected or unaware of that.
