There's more people than you can imagine who absolutely love Trump, from all corners of the world, from various races, religions, etc. There's actually Muslims who like Trump because they understand that Trump's attempts at reducing America's need to police the world is actually beneficial to not only the Muslim world but America and the West as a whole too.

America won't 'get hit the worst' if Trump is successful in the trade war against China. I personally thought it was always obvious who would win the trade war (the US), and with how Putin actually likes Trump (because Trump has always said he has no issues with restoring relations with Russia and giving up the bad blood from the fucking cold war era), he has a very high chance of actually easily beating China.

China needs the US way more than the US needs China. If his plan works out, the US would be in to gain very significantly economically.

Basically the people who are currently buying into the stock markets crashing and some massive global recession being on the horizon are the ones betting on the US losing the trade war, the people who see it as just a correction in a long period of positive economic growth are the ones who think the US will win.

We'll just have to wait and see. I personally have my money on the US winning. Trump actually going to NK and kicking it with Kim was part of the plan. well here is the thing the free market removes all inefficiency. because ones inefficiency is an others opportunity to profit. and that is why the market should be as free as possible however... there is this tiny catch that the cost of pollution will not be paid by those that take the immediate profits. so we can not exist without regulation because the way the market and humans work short term realized profit trumps non immediate concerns but that leads to a fucked planet over time. i believe the states most important responsibility to keep the conditions livable for future generations by pricing in the future costs for current businesses. and of course monopolies are pretty bad because they ultimately suffocate innovation even tho they have the most resources to do it there is no competition that drives it. so keeping things from growing too big is also a good idea.
