>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

All marijuana stocks combined are worth 125billion, global marijuana market could be 200billion but the Canadian marijuana market isn't more than 5-10billion. I don't think TA means anything in the long term and that fundamentals are much more important in deciding what stocks you should buy, but I do think TA has a valid use in predicting short term price trends and refining an entry point into a given stock.

I'm looking into indicators to use, and bollinger bands seem to be intuitive and relatively reliable. Are there any other indicators I should learn about?

But here you go doubting thomas. my fund gained 113K in 8 years with only $900 added in investments over that period (which actually happened in 2018). the rest was dividend reinvestment and capital gains.

I put money into other accounts or used my income to pay for law school, down payment on home, etc.

my mutual fund account is a mixture of Income, Growth, Emerging Markets and Dividends and I get around 2.3% return (raising dividend each year with the raising price of the share).

my dividend portfolio is as follows:

AAPL, DOC, GE, IBM, IP, IRM, ITW, JNJ, JPM, KO, LOW, MSFT, NOK, O, PFE, PG, PSX, SBUX, T, V, VZ

I look less to straight yield and look more into dividend growth of the company, consecutive years of dividend growth, the percentage average of growth and the sustainability. That is where the magic of compounding interest and dividend growth come together to help create truly passive income

Is anyone considering getting into China stocks? With their market at this low point, if you're a long term holder, then these tariffs will eventually end and their growing middle class is something to consider. Are there any stocks y'all have in mind that are really under value right now?

I'm looking at Alibaba (which is pretty obvious), but also:

-Baidu, Chinese leading search engine
-China Telecom Corp, offers a range of wireline and mobile telecommunications
-China Mobile Ltd is a telecom operator in China. It provides cellular telecommunications and related services
-CNOOC is an oil and gas company.

Give them a few more months. They've got a great product but the gains train is only picking up speed. They'll be double by next time this year atleast. That's at a proper valuation atleast. Don't expect it to moon. It isn't crypto

I can invest maximum $250 a month in my current position(earning $700 per month). My profession is linked to greater experience higher the pay, only 25, so that'll change in the future. But anyways with that little should I just keep dumping my money into one stock, I'm planning VTI(vanguard). Till I have a sizable amount say $3000, then start diversifying by doing the same in another high gains and dividend stock?

dividend.com to start research

Think about what the company does (does it make a product? If so are they the best? Could a competitor beat them? Do they have a durable advatange in the market)

Look at the yield, you want a good yield but not something stupid high that can be maintained over a long run

When looking at the company look as to whether or not they have they had any dividend cuts? If so, why? Was it something temporary or systemic?

Look at their history, how long have they been paying out dividend? Are they regularly increasing it?

Look to buy great company's a fair prices instead of bad companies at amazing prices.

Its been sticking above 23-25 for awhile now. I don't expect people to start selling much cause anyway that's been paying attention knows that Intel are shaking in their boots and have absolutely no products planned out to keep up the race with and. They've been failing 10nm for 6 years plus now and still can't get it working. They haven't had an architectural Change in 4+ years either. They've really dropped the ball and their desperation has been showing in the past few months with the release of their "new" products which are just overpriced nuclear reactors cause they're pushing their outdated architecture to the brink of collapse.
Intel's not coming back in the next few months at all. And possibly they'll be in the same boat next year. Cause they'll have to be extremely lucky to pull anything off.
Now for business Intel is 100% guaranteed to not be able to catch up in the next 2 years. With and being half the cost and 33% faster performance. Also factor in that servers are only changed out every so years and hasn't been able to make much sales yet off of their server CPUs.
Though one thing that is for certain is amd is gaining alit of marketshare out of this. Mindshare is growing aswell as they are seeping back into the market even with casual users whom didn't even know and existed all these years.
Amds products are truly amazing and I just hope that once the zen line is finished by 2020 they can continue to bring on another great few products
