had a dream last night and i unironically think xmr is the goat coin which will make it.

now, explain why 2nd layer CT btc solutions wont make it absolete though?

i already digged into the supply fud and that aint no issue. its dope

you still need to settle on the main layer that has no fungibility otherwise you are just playing pretend blockchain

what about bcash faggots saying bshuffle will make it obsolete, are they full of shit?

i already noticed bcash is low iq, simply look at xmr sub and compare it. there is only high iq discussions on there compared to bitter bcash tards.

Shuffling, mixing, coinjoining is just one solution (comparable to ring signatures in monero) and an inferior one - ring signatures are a form of zero knowledge, outsiders have no idea which output is the real one and can at best infer. Shuffling is just mixing coins together and computers are very good at unraveling that.

And on top of that Monero has mandatory privacy with stealth addresses and confidential transactions (bulletproofs hiding the amounts)

>> No.11472108

its not just ring sigs.
its ring sigs
range proofs
stealth addresses

that being said. OP is a retard. Dero will destroy this shitcoin within 2 years.

monero has some serious backlog in terms of wallets and easy usability for normies.

First the Ledger implementation isnt really secure, in addition you have to download the whole chain, you always then need a ledger to access it ( lets say ledger stops there production and yours is broke and you dont get one ). You cant recover your monero wallet with the Ledger seed, like its possible with btc ltc eth, .... without a Device.
Mobile and PC wallets are clogy and full of bugs.

Its the coin with the most usecase, but its frontend is shit as fuck.

Thats false. Try monerujo or cake wallet. They are secure and easy to handle.

you don't need the full blockchain and you don't need ledger services to be online

You can use the Ledger with a remote node, and you can also get your Monero seedwords from the Ledger seedwords (theres a small tool).
Also, Monerujo for android is easy, looks nice and even supports the Ledger on your phone.

Check out Particl, they're the most upstream development on BTC core and are working on Ring CT+ for core (which has already been audited by NJTI). I like XMR, but once BTC can implement Ring CT+ then I'm not sure what use case XMR will have

Bitcoin can't even agree on a block size increase and you think they're going to be able to implement Ring CT without a massive blowup? Bitcoin can't agree on anything. Also optional privacy fucking sucks, so does PoS.

It most certainly will be an issue. Lots of competing interests even just within core at the moment. Regardless, if it's some kind of opt-in privacy method it will be inferior to Monero.

2nd layers are a core/blockstream meme

the lightning network was their first try and it has failed spectacularly. you can't even send large amounts for risk of flat out losing it. just imagine them trying to tack on something as complex as another subchain doing novel and useful things. they can't even balance a ledger with LN.
