Twitch and youtube content creators are constantly tipped in addition to their subscription models. Even fucking cam girls are tipped. Almost any medium where an interesting personality can provide unique content, is tipped in some method to ensure it's survival and continutation. Not once or twice, but a worthwhile percentage of their audience to make it either a full time occupation... or evenbecome fucking millionaires.

People are so desperate to get content THEY ACTUALLY WANT without ads, privacy invasion or corporate ties maligning the creative vision, they kickstart, indieGo, Patreon, Etsy, NotontheHighStreet etc etc.
