These things were then put to the test in numours wars WW1&WW2 for example : if you failed to adopt these traits you were you were sorted out (inform of death). Yes you died but atleast it was in a fast way and then youre suffering was put to an end. In comparsion today where "men" that cant be really called men are tolerated and their live is actually enabled.
