The problem is when somebody, or more specifically some country, all of a sudden says "Hey guys, I'm gonna need that money back sooner rather than later so I'm going to increase the interest on the debt I put out". This is what the american government is doing now, which forces a lot of people to cash out on investments including stocks, property, the metals, and possibly crypto. More importantly, there are entire countries who are in debt to the US by a fuck ton, which means they need to exchange more of their currency for USD, which makes their own currency worth less which means they need to print more which means its worth less etc. etc.. This is why so many currencies are failing.

If the US really told everyone to fuck off do you know how much of our population would have to pick up labor intensive blue-collar jobs? Do you realize how much we'd have to rip up the entire continent to keep even close to our standard of living? It would end the American city and country all at once because there would be no more city jobs to have and no land cheap enough because of their resources to own for yourself anymore. You'd be stuck in a small town mining your days away for pennies, as would every single other American not currently rich.
