You have a lifeboat with a hundred people. You have 100 food ration packs. In the boat there is:
1 captain of the ship
9 skilled men who work hard repairing and maintaining the lifeboat
70 people who are a small amount of help but not much
10 people who are incapable of helping due to age and infirmity
10 people who could help, but are lazy as fuck and spend their whole time complaining.

What do you consider the ideal distribution of food? (food ration packs can be divided into smaller units)

Obviously a system where everyone gets one food ration pack is retarded, because if 9 people are busting their asses to keep the lifeboat afloat they will have higher energy requirements, and it's questionable whether the 10 complainers are entitled to anything more than the bare minimum for survival.
I'm more interested in hearing from people who support an economic system where 95 of the food ration packs go to the Captain (who shares it with maybe 2 or 3 cronies) and everyone else is left with nearly nothing.

9 handymen get all the rtions, rest is according to the economic landscape.
Hot women get rations if they are willing to give head anddo anal.

Old people die hungry.
Lazy guys get their skulls bashed in.
Captain gets to live if he contributes to the eco system.
Only those who create value get to eat. the rest can fuck off.

Cryptocurrency potentially opens the doors for entire economies by consent, where participants can actually choose the structure of the economy they take part in and the mechanisms it has for limiting the concentration of wealth past a certain point.
I wonder if, faced with a supermarket of different crypto choices, you would still opt for one that directs as much new wealth into the hands of a tiny minority than the current fiat system.

I think it's really telling, in fact I kind of think it's the crux of my entire issue with people, is that none of the people in this thread see themselves as being in the lazy/complaining 10. And yet here we all are on 4chan. Doing nothing and complaining.

Wealth will always allocate according to a Pareto distribution. The only reason that this natural state of affairs bothers brainlets like you is because of muh feels.
If you cannot even face this simple and obvious reality, you will stay poor and confused, which again, is only natural. The overall economy benefits when people soft in the head are stripped of their wealth.
One of the main reasons we live in a clown world right now is the failure of the fiat system to brutally separate idiots from their control over the means of production.

Isn't Pareto based around an 80/20 split? And you haven't even picked up on the fact I'm not even critical of that. I think an unequal hierarchical system is inevitable.
But at what deviation from 80/20 (say, where 0.1% has 99.9% of the wealth) is it actually open to discussion whether a reversion to 80/20 is desirable? Or is it always a taboo?

Each person receives one ration pack.

Those who are capable will use their skills and energy foraging/fishing and acquiring more resources. Those who do not, will starve or rely on the mercy of those who produce.

A just lifeboat society will grant a higher living standard and privileges to the skilled producers in exchange for protection of those who cannot produce. E.G. grannie league agree to vocally support power structure in exchange for food, high producers get more space on boat on average, first choice of food, etc.

Pareto is most typically 80/20, but that is more of a rule of thumb than anything. 95/5 is also Pareto assuming the same general form (curve).
Maybe I was wrong about you, anon, but your toy raft example is a very flawed model of a real economy. You are right that the current fiat-based crony system may produce a greater amount of inequality than a system of perfect competition (aka, cryptopia), but inequality will always be baked into any fair economic game.

Can you fish for more ration-equivalents? If you kill off the useless, how many rations do you get per person? Are there any women of child bearing age on the boat? How many days away is safety? How long does a ration last?

I want to see if sustaining a boat-society off cannibalism and fish will work.

I think the point of the exercise is that you are the captain.

Or maybe you are the only guy with a gun and the key to the food locker. Maybe the captain is the guy who sunk the ship and should be the first to go overboard.
