In response to your statement, I disagree that wrestling is THE most important skill since it depends on the stylistic matchup of the fighters. You can be the best wrestler in the world but if you go in for a shot on brian ortega or someone with very high level jiu jitsu you're probably going to get submitted regardless of your wrestling skill.

Also, conor does have wrestling, it's just defensive wrestling which he's actually quite good at, he stopped eddie alvarez's attempts and eddie had good wrestling. If wrestling was the only thing that mattered we would have seen chael sonnen beat anderson both times but the opposite happened. The thing is we don't know if conor's defensive wrestling is going to be good enough to handle the russian. and we don't know how good of a chin khabib has either, I guarantee that khabib is going to hit so we're gonna have to see if he can handle the power. That's what makes it exciting.

I've been training bjj for years, I am well aware most fights end up on the ground. I've been in a few street fights all of which I've won using grappling. I'm also studying engineering at one the best colleges in the country. You're wrong on every account.
