I find this funny as someone who was dishwasher for 4 years. I was the only dishwasher in a consistently high pace restaurant for about half a year. You can lose a few servers, you can lose a cook or two, and you could even lose a manager, but if the dishwasher left, the whole restaurant stops. In a way, dishwashers have more responsibilities and burdens, and still have to do everyone's grunt work and get yelled at. You may have dishwashed at some yuppie faggot country club, but you would never be able to handle the stress of constant juggling of washing dishes, taking out food, dealing with clogged pipes of food, and even helping the cooks when they're understaffed. Technology IS the seizing the means of production. You think a fucking robot is going to be expensive forever? You will be able to get most decent hardware for less than a couple grand. Anyone who wants to open a store now has the ability to do it for much less money.

Restaurant workers are the absolute worst. I swear, they all have a side job where they are professionals at finding things to complain about. I used to know a waiter who said he hates it when a group of people all order water to drink, as if the reason was obvious. It was because the bill will be lower than if they ordered $3 glasses of carbonated sugar water, meaning he gets a slightly smaller tip.

Cooks aren't any better. If, god forbid, you say something when the high school dropout cooking your food fucks it up, you have to run the risk of them putting something gross in your food when they fix it because you hurt their feewings.
