Bought my office chair with it.
Bought my phone (Pixel 2XL).

They don't, tell me why I had to cash out £35 of ETH to buy a pizza earlier. Merchant adoption is years off.

smart contracts is getting so fucking huge you cannot even believe it

smart contracts will be integrated into our society, our society will basically be run by smart contracts, people won't understand how society worked before them

And no. i am not talking about LINK only now just cause they have the domain name. I am talking about Ethereum, Cardano, Eos, etc, as well as Enigma hopefully.

Originally I bet on smart contracts because I figured it would make dark markets easier, safer and more reliable for n00bs and casual users, like me. To prevent Silk Road style meltdowns. Or at least stop MTGOX style melt downs through DEXes. Looked like nationalism was on the rise and interest rates were about to go negative, so sanctions and tariffs and bail-ins were about to create a demand for grey markets.
ETH has DEXes and privacy features that nobody uses. Turns out all anybody uses ETH for is printing money and breeding cryptokitties. Which has been lucrative, but not meaningful.
