honestly, what the fuck happened? Be real for a second. Tesla might be trying to go private at a cheaper price, and Musk just spilled the beans prematurely. Or...

He did some hard fucking drugs to celebrate SpaceX's launch. I can't tell which but in following the breadcrumbs. Musk was damn near to a poster child for stand-up role models. Then the launch happened, and then those children getting trapped in the mines.

BETWEEN THOSE TWO EVENTS, what in the fuck happened to Musk? The immediate response to aiding the children, followed by the slanderous rapist rants makes me think he saw the news on a bender after tripping balls for 3 days straight and their "submarine" design almost furthers that assumption. Something caused his ego to go 100x. I'm genuinely curious, what the fuck caused such a radical change in his behavior?

I think you're right about the falcon launch boosting his ego. For a time he saw himself as the leader of humanity in its course to space, his feet left the ground.
